A Lovely Week Away

It was a joy and a pleasure spending Springbreak at Blue Ridge Cabin in Flat Rock (Hendersonville). The cabin is absolutely beautiful inside and out. The furnishings are gorgeous and so comfy. The updated kitchen is divine- fun to prepare meals in.
And the view....the view is spectacular. Sitting on the front porch overlooking the valley down below is awesome. And then from the master bedroom-seeing the lights of Hendersonville is so romantic!
Since it was chilly, we built fires in the stone fireplace, and played games that were there in the living room.
We went to a play at the Flat Rock Playhouse just down the mountain, and it was hilarious. Wonderful acting.
One day we spent at the Carl Sandburg house and property. Gorgeous home and meadows.
It was truly a blessing to stay at the Blue Ridge Cabin, a lovely retreat from the hustle and bustle of the real world.
Our family looks so forward to returning to this home !!

Great Mountain Cabin

What a wonderful mountain cabin! The open Living/Dining/Kitchen area is comfortable in size with a character that is both cozy and spacious....providing ample room for the family to gather together around the fireplace or enjoy preparing a meal together. The cabin (with a vaulted ceiling and gable end filled with glass) offers a great view overlooking Hendersonville below (mountains in daylight and city lights in the evening).

The locations is properly secluded and high in the mountain...yet a short drive to charming Flat Rock or Hendersonville beyond (where we found a charming downtown with good restaurants).

I would enthusiastically recommend this cabin as a great mountain get away!

Great winter getaway

We just had the opportunity to visit this nice home for a winter weekend getaway. It's just a short drive to the sleepy town of Flat Rock and the more lively Hendersonville which is filled with shops, antique stores, and restaurants. Even on this weekend during the less busy season, there was plenty going on.

We woke up our first morning to a beautiful snowfall. The house has a great fireplace and a well-placed heater that give you comfortable warmth no matter how cold it is outside. There are new stainless steel appliances in the kitchen and the dining room/living room furniture is in great condition. The bed was comfortable and we slept really well both nights. Nice closet space.

The outdoor space is great, with a sheltered place to park your car, large porches, rocking chairs and a hot tub which works really well.

We hope to go back again someday!
