Quiet, romantic disconnect

My wife and I stayed here (Pineapple Room) for our anniversary and while visiting family and family. We loved our stay! We usually stay in Waimanalo when we come each year, but this is our first stay in this property.
Be aware that if you are looking for the Waikiki scene, this is not it. The area is a quiet residential neighborhood, perfect for those looking to get some rest and relaxation. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by Tamy and Rick and their dogs (for those wondering, the dogs were very chill and never bothered us). They were both personable and willing to help with whatever. We---especially my wife, appreciated that they were actually ready for us to come. We've stayed in other rentals that have been nice, but the owner/manager wasn't quite ready for us arriving at the set time. Tamy and Rick had all the details, i.e. letter welcoming us by name, key ready to go, quick intro to the unit, etc.
One of the things my wife kept commenting on was the attention to detail. The amenities, "user's manual" for guests, in-room safe, utensils, etc. The rooms is studio-like, and is smaller than a typical hotel room. However, the room was clean, sheets and bed were comfortable, and the privacy was great. I think there were other guests in the adjoining unit, but i couldn't really tell because it was so quiet.
The grounds of the house are really lovely, making you feel at home in this home-away-from-home setting. The plants, waterfall, etc. are placed to give you added seclusion from neighboring properties. Top things we loved: our own private lanai (patio/porch) with adequate seating, the warm water outdoor shower to get the sand off (really an ingenious and convenient luxury), water hose near entry to wash off your feet, complimentary beach chairs, umbrella, snorkel equipment, and other beach toys. They thought of it all. The beach is very close, and we loved getting up each morning and walking to Waimanalo.
There is no AC in the unit but for us, that wasn't an issue. The ceiling fan and several windows allowed the trade winds to enter and was just perfect. We slept so good and it felt as if we were right on the beach.
I was very impressed with it all and recommend this lovely paradise for couples especially looking to get away. Thanks again Tamy and Rick for your attentiveness!
