About Dan and Kim

I fell in love with Nashville and especially the East Nashville area. The plan was to transfer to Vanderbilt for work but it didn't come to be as the economy was in trouble. So presently I still work in Bay Area and travel back and forth to my home.

Dan and Kim purchased this house in 2009

Why Dan and Kim chose Nashville

People here have a warm welcoming heart.

Great Location. Everything is 5-15 minutes away.

There is a little bit of everything going on!!!

What makes this house unique

Fabulous restaurants just blocks away with great music, great food and great people.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Thank you so much for allowing us to be guests in your home on such short notice. The house was everything we needed. Not only did it provide clean and comfortable accommodations, it also gave us a taste of Nashville residential living. We enjoyed daily stops for coffee and had drinks at the local late-night bar! Your home is wonderful and I look forward to staying there again.

Great house, but deposit refund was tricky

  • 3 of 5
Clean, spacious, beautiful home with comfortable beds, nice backyard and a well-stocked kitchen. Dan was very friendly and accommodating. A reunion of 9 of us had a great time in a fairly central location and enjoyed walking to the 5 points area for good food and great music!

Drawbacks: 1) Upon checkout, Dan told us that we had left the house in great shape and we would be refunded the deposit. 2 1/2 weeks after our trip, we had to email when that refund was not made. They apologized and said that they needed an address to send it to, as they would be mailing a cashier's check (even though payments were made electronically). This check then took another 12 days to arrive and I was warned that previous renters had accidentally thrown it out thinking it was junk mail (as it's in a plain envelope). I've advised that they either change their refund method or notify guests of this arrangement in advance, so they know to email their address after check-out.

2) Also, since this is Music City, we wish they had a way to play music in the house. One of us brought a tiny boom box, but a small stereo, ipod dock or something in the main room, would have been an appreciated addition.

Great location, very nice home!

  • 4 of 5
We loved the 5 Points area of Nashville!! Great restaurants & nightlife within walking distance!! Most things about the house were fantastic with a few minor updates needed. The coffee pot was less than desirable as were the plastic chairs at the formal dining room table. Also, make sure no dishes are washed with hot water while anyone is taking a shower because the hot water runs out fast. We were able to work around those issues and, otherwise had a great stay!!

Christmas Getaway

  • 5 of 5
We really enjoyed our stay in this trendy area of Nashville. The house was clean, spacious for our family of four and decorated nicely (even had a Christmas tree) - it felt like home. Due to the holiday we cooked in a lot (thanks to Puckett's Grocery downtown for good Christmas lunch cater) and had the utensils, etc. necessary for that. We alsoate at a couple of great local restaurants (Mad Donnas and Eastland Cafe). Definitely would recommend for a trip to Nashville.

Sporting Retreat

  • 4 of 5
Our group came in for a sporting event and the location was perfect for what we did. Local eats were close as well as the 5 points neighborhood gathering spots. Going into downtown was a little difficult as we called 5 cab companies and no one ever came to pick us up. I recommend walking to the 5 points area and hailing a cab from there. A great option the city offers are the bicycle rentals. For $5 each we rented a bike for the day which made it more convenient to arrive at our weekend event. Overall Nashville and the location had plenty for us to enjoy and would love to come back soon.
