Superb holiday apartment.

This holiday apartment is on the ground floor of a proper Swiss house. It was immaculate, spotlessly clean and very warm. We were very grateful to Cristin for meeting us at the station as it is a reasonable walk - mostly uphill! We felt very fit by the end of our week. The apartment is in an ideal spot to explore Lauterbrunnen and the surrounding area. We bought Swiss rail passes and made full use of them visiting Murren, Wengen, Interlaken, Lausanne ( with a boat trip) Zurich and then back to Geneva. So much to see and do that we will have to return again soon. Lots of places to eat in the village but my top recommendation is the Jungfrau campsite - good value ( for Switzerland), lively atmosphere, excellent food - large portions.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

A cosy modern apartment situated in a large house occuppied by the friendly proprietor and family. The apartment is modern with a good range of kitchen equipment, two single pull down beds in the main room, a single bedroom and a small toilet/shower room.Everything was very clean.
You also get a dedicated patio area directly opposite the Staubbach falls and with views up the valley to snowy peaks. The location is 10 minutes walk to the centre of Lauterbrunnen, its station and the Co-Op which is well stocked for self caterers.
You can walk up the valley for 40 minutes to Trummelbach falls and a little further to the Schilithorn cable car.
The three of us who stay at the apartment had an enjoyable relaxing time for the week we were there.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

We had a great time staying with the Franke's family. The apartment was neet and clean and had a great view of the falls across the valley floor. The Franke's picked us up at the train station, and returned us to the station when we departed. The apartment is a short walk to the main business district. There is a Co-Op grocery, a bakery and a butcher. The rail station is about 1 mile, and the local bus has a stop close to the apartment. Plenty to see in the area.
