This house had everything, luxury and adventure!
There is nothing more satifying then waking up to the sound of Toucans in the trees and delicious Costa Rica coffee brewing! Hmmm...what shall we do today, from the "Grateful House" there are so many options. Will it be quading over the back mountain roads to incredible fresh rivers for a swim? Driving into Dominical to take in the village life, hang out on the beach, meander through the stalls selling sarongs, jewellary, clothes and more? Go exploring for one of the many waterfalls or tucked away beaches in the area? Go scuba diving or whitewater rafting? Or just stay at home, relax by the pool, stuff our faces with bananas still hanging on the branch we bought at one of the fruit stands and wait for the monkeys to fly through the tops of the trees. We had so much space to relax and just listen to the jungle sounds, hang out on the incredible deck and watch the sun sink into the ocean. We did not want to leave! Especially since we had all the conveniences such as wifi, hot water, and a full kitchen to utilize. We felt right at home and will definitely return to the "Grateful House" when visiting Dominical, Manuel Antonio or just exploring. It is a stop on our trip that gave us the chance to actually get to know some of the people and learn to enjoy Costa Rica local style. The resident dogs on the property were wonderful, my daughter loved playing with them and taking them for walks! All in all, the experience left us wondering if we might want to live there, one can always dream, but until then we know we have a home away from home at the "Grateful House". Thank you!
