I am an Australian who has lived here in Tuscany for over 12 years and come from a background of Hotels and Resorts and work as a Tour Guide and Holiday Manager.
Massimo Lenzi is my best friend and colleague making up the Tuscan side of Tuscany Kangaroos. He was born in the village and is a wealth of local knowledge - he also guides, with a lot of passion , people around the village of Vicopisano. But his full time position is managing the family business which is one of the last great arts and dying traditions of Vicopisano - Terracotta and Ceramics .
We both love to meet and entertain new people to the Village. It is still one of Tuscanys best kept secrets. You can find comments about us by some of our guests on Trip advisor check out Lenzis in Vicopisano. We also have a B & B or residence where we can accommodate up to 11 guests in four ensuite rooms.
The best part about staying here in Vicopisano is that you get the true Italian experience. No Tourist buses rolling through the streets, No tourist menus ! This is where you can be a local with the locals for a week or a month as long as you wish to stay.
We have numerous houses and apartments and wanted to be able to offer a more historical form of housing . When this unique Tower House with such an enormous garden right underneath the famous castle and Tower built by Fillipo Brunelleschi became available we had to have it.
The views from all the windows looking down on to the garden or out at the surrounding towers are magical. The fact that no cars can pass, as it is set along one of the village lane ways, adds to the magic and the tranquillity. Such an unusually large garden with it's Grape Vine covered pergola and the outdoor dining space - all so private .
