And, you won't see any neighbors from your private 17 ft long lanai.
Newly-renovated kitchen area perfect for breakfast and post-beach snacks as well as full dinners if you choose. Having the ability to 'eat home' sometimes will make your vacation truly affordable--much more so than in a hotel. While not part of the hotel, you may enjoy many of the hotel amenities including, sumptuous lobby, 24-hour manned security, swimming pool, brand new fitness center, new spacious laundry facility and the warm 'aloha' of a very friendly staff.
You will feel at home from the moment you arrive. The Royal Garden is a 'boutique hotel' on a quiet street--Ft DeRussy side of Waikiki just 2-3 streets from 'upscale' Trump and Halekulani. The hotel portion, owned by Wyndham Vacation Resorts, has completed substantial upgrading and renovation. This privately-owned unit has already been totally redone!
No need for a car--walk to the beach, restaurants, shops, major hotels and all the excitement of Waikiki without the crowds. Bus nearby to downtown, Convention Center, Ala Moana Shopping center, etc. No need for a car but parking is available in the hotel's garage for extra fee or nearby garage. This spotless studio has been FULLY renovated with porcelain tile floors throughout, cherry wood cabinets, an expanded kitchen area and all new furniture. Suitable for 1 or 2 people, the unit has a queen bed, comfortable leather sofa (with 2 ottomans for resting after a full day of fun), Stressless recliner and a 'bistro' table and chairs.
The newly-designed kitchen area has a full-size refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, 2-burner portable cooktop, coffee maker and rice cooker. Linens, dishes, utensils and cookware provided. The 17 ft long lanai overlooks the Ala Wai canal--perfect for watching canoe races. Some ocean view too! High floor with wonderful breezes but also has A/C if you prefer. Cable TV and Wi-Fi in unit included at no extra charge. Sorry, no pets and absolutely no smoking in unit or on the lanai. Minimum age is 25 for primary guest. Maximum 2 people (including infants and children).

*****'My wife and I really enjoyed our time in Waikiki. The apartment was in an ideal location for us. We are walkers and bus users. Royal Garden was an easy walk to Ala Moana, Sam’s Club/Walmart and Don Qujiote for groceries. Just a hop across Ft DeRussy to the beaches and the commercial area of Waikiki. The bus stops were almost out the front door. From the lanai, we enjoyed watching the canoes and rowers on the canal. The New Year’s Eve fireworks were incredible. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. Nice peek a boo view of the ocean, skylines of downtown and the clouds over the mountain tops. Don’t think we could have been in a better location. Had a pair of house finches visiting us everyday. Fun watching them. The apartment itself was just right, the bed was comfortable. Slept well every night - of course that could have had something to do with all the walking we did. Lastly, but very important, the price was very fair.'
*****'This is a great place to stay. Not only is it newly remodeled but it's very clean, quiet and comfortable with everything you need for a vacation to the Waikiki area. The beach is a 8 minute walk, and all of the major shopping is within 5 minutes. There's an ABC store just down the street. The view is a great city view where you can watch the crew teams on the canal during the day and the amazing lights of Honolulu at night. Plus you do have a break between buildings where you actually get a good view of the Ocean. I would definitely stay here again!'

Aloha! We are Margaret and John, the owners of this little 'jewel' in the Royal Garden Hotel. We love to stay here ourselves when we 'come to town' and enjoy the central location but quiet ambiance. When we renovated this unit, we did it with an eye towards our own comfort--so we know you will like it too. We are both licensed real estate professionals--however, this unit is our own.

Location, location, location. We bought this unit because it is right in Waikiki but on a quiet street just off the Ala Wai Canal. We can walk everywhere and enjoy the night life in Waikiki--especially the great local musicians who play at the nearby hotels. Also, the 17-foot long lanai makes this unit so light, bright and airy that a 'day at home' feels like we are outside. Thrilled that Wyndam is completing its very upscale renovations, we will be happy here for many years to come.
This unit was a deluxe hotel unit (almost 350 sq. ft.)before it became privately-owned. Now, besides being a comfortable place to lay your head, it has an elegant seating area and totally-redone kitchen area that allows you to stay in and cook when you like. The renovation of this unit was TOTAL--all new floors, furniture, bathroom and kitchen area. The convenient location and amenities of a hotel, but much, much more.
I apologize I have not sent you a note after my visit to Honolulu two weeks ago. I went right back to work upon my return and now to hosting family visiting here on the mainland. Your unit was lovely as is the property, and I like the location in the Waikiki area being on a relatively quiet street. The staff at the hotel were wonderful, from security, front desk, and parking valets. This was my first time with a vacation rental and it did feel quite like home away from home. I was looking for the closet to hang clothes and did not find a rack in the cabinet/closet on either side of the bed, but then saw the coat/hat rack in the corner by the television with hangers so I was glad it was there. I had a car since I was doing some visiting and errands outside of Honolulu, and did end up parking the car over the weekend at the hotel since the street parking and the parking lot at the corner on Kuhio filled up early and quickly during this time. I would come back again and highly recommend to family and friends. As soon as I have more time, I will visit the review site and write one.
