Breathtaking views, close to beach, beautiful home

We loved the top floor loft because the view was breathtaking! We could see the beach and one day even watched some dolphins playing in the water. The bedrooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. Every room has a great view. It was a very short walk across the street to the beach. The house was clean and well maintained. It was exactly as described in the listing. We didn’t use the martini pool or community pool because the weather wasn’t really warm enough for swimming. But they both looked inviting. We walked to a restaurant the first night we were there. It was a beautiful night for a walk. It was a short drive to the Silver Sands Outlet and other eateries and retail stores. We used the website provided by Southern Vacations to find many of the places that we visited. We didn't rent any bikes or other recreational equipment. But if we go back, we will probably plan ahead and reserve some bikes to ride up and down the nice bike/walking path that runs along Old Highway 98 which is the road between the house and the beach. Definitely recommend McGuire’s Irish Pub, Harborwalk Village which has retail and eateries, Pompano Joe's, Hard Rock Café, Destin Commons (nice outdoor mall), Bubba Gump Shrimp Restaurant ... we could go on and on. There was even a Wal-Mart close by for all those things we forgot to bring and for some groceries too. The house was not on the main retail strip (US-98) so you didn't have the loud traffic noise, but close enough to get there within a few minutes. We really just wanted somewhere to relax and enjoy the beach. But if you want activities, there were plenty of places to go for daytime and nighttime activities for all ages. I would say we were there at the tail end of spring break. Very family friendly area.
