first off, i'd just like to say....that this was one of the best rental properties that we have ever stayed at...and we have stayed at many. the renter is very helpful in every way to make sure that your stay is most enjoyable and the cottage is so inviting. we were there for our only vacation that we took this year to welcome home my nephew from afghanistan and celebrate our sons 3rd birthday with alot of family...., and this was a great location for us to be able to do all that we wanted to, while in the area. we had never been to the area, and the renter was kind enough to help us with information and setting up some wonderful events for us during our stay....and when we ran into an issue on our way there, was kind enough to help us out with the situation and for that we are so, so grateful...above and beyond(thank you so much). as for the cottage itself,....magnificent! beds were most comfortable, everything that you need has been thought of and included for you there, it just gave us the "home" feeling we needed, to make this time extra special. my nephew is stationed not too far from there, but had not been there long before being sent over to afghanistan, so he was excited to experience what the area had to offer with family along side of him. even though the weather wasn't as warm as we would have liked during our stay, you could still "feel" the warmth of the cottage, the island, and the renters hospitality. we have created a great memory that will last a lifetime! and after we got home from our trip, my 3 yr old son stated "mommy, are we going to go back to our new house today", to which i replied, "not today, but maybe someday"....i knew i had felt like it was our home away from home, and even my 3 yr old had that feeling... he still mentions it, even as it is a couple of months since our stay in sept/oct 2011. if you want a great place to stay, this is a wonderful getaway cottage to create memories with friends or family. i chose this location because of the distance to where my nephew was stationed and keeping in mind that we wanted a vacation feel as well, on an island, with lots of rooms, a "private feel" to celebrate like we were in our own home for our sons birthday, and all was fulfilled! and i bet it is even better when the weather is warm...would have liked to have taken a bike ride, but we did enjoy a golf cart ride with blankets around the island, which was still a great memory maker:) THANK YOU! cannot be said enough:)
