This ocean front home features one of the most stunning coastal views on Sea Ranch. We have been fortunate to enjoy this home for over 20 years and would like to share it with others. Completely remodeled in 2006, the home features a new gourmet kitchen, barbecue, 30 foot vaulted ceilings and unobstructed views of the coast in the living room, dining room, loft, deck and both bedrooms. Seals abound less than 200 yards away at the Sea Ranch Marine Preserve and trails lead to easy tide pool access 100 yards from your door. The Ohlson Ranch Recreation center is a short ten minute walk for those wishing to swim or play tennis. The house also features a large flat screen TV with cable, free high speed internet and free national long distance phone lines. Whether you come to watch for whales on the upper deck or relax in the private hot tub this is the perfect place to escape and enjoy nature’s beauty. Linens are included. No children under the age of 8.

Our family came to Sea Ranch over 2 decades ago and fell in love with the North Coast. We have been enjoying Sea Ranch ever since and hope the next generation of our family will preserve and protect this wonderful setting.
The Owner purchased this house in 1990
Sea Ranch is one of the most unique places on earth. It is one of the few places you can experience the amazing wind swept North Coast and do it in the privacy and comfort of an an Ocean Front home.
Our house has one of the few easy access areas to tide pools on Sea Ranch and is located adjacent to the Sea Ranch Marine Preserve that is home to a large seal population. We have spent many trips watching deer, raccoons, rabbits and numerous other wildlife walk by our front windows. We have also spotted Grey Whales as they migrate up and down the coast. Sea Ranch is a truly magical place.
This was our first visit to the Sea Ranch area, and it did not disappoint. From the moment we got up in the morning until the time we climbed into our very comfortable bed, this roomy, fully loaded, and well-decorated home provided everything from beautiful floor-to-ceiling views for relaxing to coastal hikes for exercise. Nature is literally right outside the door...racoons & deer are easily visible and sea lions are just a short walk away. Nearby restaurants offer fine dining or casual cafes. When we chose to stay in, it was an easy drive to the quaint town of Gualala for food, and the gourmet kitchen or barbecue supplied everything we needed for a home cooked meal. This is the ideal place to enjoy friends and decompress! Looking forward to a return trip!!
Magnificent views! Love the natural setting of the community and the endless hiking trails! Had a blast kayaking on the Gualala river too. The home is well updated and has upscale decor. The home is very comfortable for a group of 6.
What a spectacular house! We loved everything about it. I was a little surprised to see a review that said the interior needs updating. We didn't find that to be the case. The decor is gorgeous and modern, the carpet is clean, the beds are really comfortable and the gourmet kitchen is extremely well stocked. You could just stay at the house for the duration of your vacation and have a wonderful time, with all the hiking trails and tide pools around. We did do a little exploring around the Gualala river, and in town, but we were so happy to come back to this house and just sit in front of the wall of windows and watch the ocean for hours. We will definitely be back. We've rented a lot of homes on VRBO and this one is absolutely above par. It exceeded expectations and we recommend it highly.
We recently spent 3 nights at Arch Rock and used it as a base to explore the CA coast. The trail that goes along the coast through Sea Ranch is located at the edge of the property. This is a great place to walk early in the morning. We wanted a house close to the ocean and this house is ~100 yards from the water (on the north side). There are good views of the north coast from the great room and to the south from the bedroom. However, a dense copse of trees and another house completely block western views. The house layout is very functional - good kitchen and large, open great room with a fireplace. The interior needs updating. Carpets need to be cleaned/replaced & the squishy sofa should be replaced. Water has stained the interior wood throughout the house. The great room windows were so dirty it was difficult to see the ocean. Given that renters are charged $180 for housekeeping service, the windows should be cleaned before guests arrive. The staff at Beach Rentals office in Gualala were very helpful in responding to inquiries & dealing with problems we encountered at the house.
Wow! What a beautiful location! We joined in a Christmas celebration with friends this past year. When I began to search for the home for a summer girls' getaway, I realized that I should write a review to let others know how wonderful our stay was. The photos of the home are beautiful, but can not do justice to how beautiful the home really is. Sitting on a bluff that overlooks the Pacific, you are able to enjoy your morning coffee looking northward up the beautiful coastline, and enjoy a wonderful glass of wine up on the deck in the evening looking southward down the coastline while enjoying a beautiful sunset over the Pacific. The home is very well decorated and has a kitchen that would even delight a chef. The soaring ceilings add to the spaciousness of this home. I look forward to returning with girlfriends to explore tide pools, enjoy sunsets and even do a little shopping in the art galleries and boutiques in the quaint little town of Gualala.
This house is incredible. The home and area never disappoint! We walk every morning on the bluff trails and it's like walking in paradise., You get so carried away by the beauty that you don't realize you are exercising. This is one of the most relaxing vacations you can find.
The home is very comfortable and you never tire of the views. The gourmet kitchen is great, and there is nothing better that to have dinner cooking and sharing a glass of wine on the deck watching the ocean and the deer walk by. In our three years of staying here, we have yet wo see all the surrounding area. The house is so wonderful it's hard to leave. If you like wines, try a day trip to the Andersen Valley. It's a beautiful ride and the wines are great. If you want to stay closer to home, the Annapolis Vineyard is very close and a great spot for a picnic lunch.
This home and area is one of our favotite spots. It's breathtaking view, beautiful house, and the things to do are endless. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for an unforgetable vacation destination.
