Secluded and quiet loft above our detached garage allows the occupant to enjoy panoramic views of Mount Shasta and environs. We are located 1 mile above the town and just minutes from the downtown area. The loft includes a nice dining area, private deck, and vaulted ceilings with skylights. Sunsets from the deck are breathtaking. A small woodstove keeps you cozy during the winter months. Decorated with turn-of -the-century collectibles including a wooden sled, skis and snowshoes. Winter ski area just 15 minutes away, outstanding hiking and biking from the front door. Ice rink just minutes away (winter months only). Lake Siskiyou nearby with boating and swimming beach during the summer.

The vacation rental is on our property, detached from the main house. It is very private.
Mount Shasta is an incredibly peaceful and quiet place - the perfect place to relax and unwind, or go hiking or climbing - swim in one of the many lakes- go canoeing, boating or kayaking- ski, snowboard, toboggan or snowmobile, all within minutes from our loft. For golfers there are 3 courses nearby - Mount Shasta Resort (18 holes - also has a day spa), Lake Shastina Golf Resort (18 holes) and Weed Golf Course (9 holes). Fishermen are also spoiled for choice - the Upper Sacramento & McCloud Rivers offer world class fishing - then there are many mountain lakes, and the Pit, Trinity and Klamath Rivers nearby.
This is a wonderful, peaceful and quiet location with a "kitchen table" view of Mt. Shasta. It's maybe a mile, if that, to downtown shopping and restaurants. Ditto on "the unit is clean and bright, tastefully decorated, with an awesome wood-burning stove and a fully functional kitchenette." This is an incredible base for any of your favorite outdoor activities, lakes, "links" or woods. My wife and I can't say enough nice things about the owners who are intelligent, attentive, helpful and accomodating without being intrusive. If you desire a private and peaceful outdoor setting for your home away from home, this is the place, trust me!
We have been visiting this area two or three times a year for the past twenty years, and feel we finally found a spot where we can move in and relax for a week. This is a great location just outside of Shasta City, where you have privacy, and comfort. The studio does have a small kitchen, so don't expect to cook mega feasts. The bed was super comfortable and the decks afforded views of the beautiful surroundings. We usually stay in McCloud when visiting the area, but this is a better value, and will be our first choice when visiting the area next time. We stay in many VRBO properties around the world and highly recommend this location.
Greg & Carolyn are great hosts and the loft was perfect for two. It's clean, well supplied and nicely furnished. The woodstove keeps it all warm and comfortable! Being close to town made it fun to do some Christmas shopping, take a drive up Mt. Shasta, visit Weed and Dunsmuir all in a day. Highly recommended!
My wife and I had an amazing time here! The loft was very comfortable and clean and everything was in good working order. The location was perfect - close to town, but far away enough to feel very peaceful. Greg and Carolyn were so nice and friendly to us that we felt right at home. They also were helpful in giving us the insider's scoop on things to do/places to eat in the areas. Basically, we can't say enough about this place, and especially about Greg and Carolyn. We would definitely recommend this place to friends and family!
What can I say???? Greg and Carolyn are truly the best hosts, so very welcoming! From the time we inquired about the loft until the time we booked we had very helpful and prompt responses. They were very helpful providing information about the area. They thought of everything. The loft was clean, very cozy, nicely decorated and had plenty of room to relax and just chill. The pictures don't do it justice, it is much larger than the pictures show. The little things were the icing on the cake. The weather was perfect, we enjoyed a bottle of wine on the deck while watching the stars one evening. We were delighted to find a loaf of the best tasting chocolate chip banana bread waiting for us (YUMMY). They also left some lovely note cards for us to use. We were in town so that my husband could officiate a wedding for some friends; while we at the wedding another couple asked him to come back next year to officiate their wedding, and I hope Greg and Carolyn's place is available. I will definitely be checking! ;+)
We spent 5 days cycling in the area and had such a fun time! The Loft was the perfect place to call home for our stay. A beautiful view from the balcony. Very quiet and peaceful. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return for another stay. The chocolate chip banana bread was delicious:-)
Our hosts were great people who do a great job of making guests feel welcome. The loft includes a fantastic binder filled with everything one needs to know about the area with maps, articles and more. The loft so well insulated that it only takes a few logs in the quaint wood burning stove to make the place toasty warm. There are different views from every window and it is perfectly located in nature but close to town. The feng shui of the space is also well thought out providing it with a homey peaceful atmosphere. Nice well equipped kitchen with a great deck overlooking the mountains. Can't say enough great things about this place.
