The vacation rental is on our property, detached from the main house. It is very private.

Mount Shasta is an incredibly peaceful and quiet place - the perfect place to relax and unwind, or go hiking or climbing - swim in one of the many lakes- go canoeing, boating or kayaking- ski, snowboard, toboggan or snowmobile, all within minutes from our loft. For golfers there are 3 courses nearby - Mount Shasta Resort (18 holes - also has a day spa), Lake Shastina Golf Resort (18 holes) and Weed Golf Course (9 holes). Fishermen are also spoiled for choice - the Upper Sacramento & McCloud Rivers offer world class fishing - then there are many mountain lakes, and the Pit, Trinity and Klamath Rivers nearby.

We travel annually to Shasta for a backroads adventure. We arrived late and was greeted by the Broidy's. They had a fire going, homemade banana loaf, and offered free wifi. These little touches and more make you feel at home. The loft is cozy and has all the amenities you will need for your stay. Although we were gone most of the day it was nice to come "home" to the loft. Definitely will be returning year after year.

... peace, quiet and recreation. Our hosts are very nice people who welcomed us with a warm fire burning in the fireplace of the loft. We had a very pleasant stay at Mount Shasta and especially in the loft. We could see the Mountain from the breakfast table. Then we made our walks in a peaceful beautiful natural environment. Then we're back in the loft and felt so comfortable and cozy and warm (we've used the open fireplace the whole time) so that we left it only for dinner. We fell asleep each night by watching the wonderful sky full of stars through the windows over the comfortable bed. The shower gave hot water pretty fast. The kitchen has everything you need for breakfast or for preparing a small meal. We surely will come back and stay again at this lovely place.

This loft is perfect for 2. Living in the noisy city gets really exhausting, but coming out to Mt. Shasta was extremely rejuvenating especially for those who enjoy staying with nature more. Staying at this loft made the experience great, but the owners, Greg & Carolyn, made the stay very welcoming. The loft is close to everything you need. There are plenty of activities and lots of hiking areas. To sum it all up, it was truly a pleasure staying here. Look forward to coming back again.

Great Place to Stay - Quite, Clean, Comfortable

This is the first time my husband and I visited Mount Shasta. When we come back, we'll be sure to rent this place again! It's a short drive (5 minutes if that) away from the main street where all the spiritual stores, coffee shops, etc. are. We appreciated that it was in a quiet neighbourhood and had a nice balcony where we could sit and have a great view of the mountains.

The bed was comfortable, kitchenette stocked with everything we needed, and the decor was country quaint. There's a binder with lots of ideas and Greg also suggested a couple of places we might be interested in seeing.

The shower had good water pressure, hot water, and the drinking water came straight from the well - fresh and cold.

Although we didn't have weather cool enough to warrent a fire, if we wanted one, there is a wood burning stove complete with wood and kindling. Something to think about if we come back in cooler weather.

We really appreciated all the nice little touches in the place - a loaf of banana bread, tea, a bar of natural soap and nice bath towels. All of these things showed the details and care they put into making our visit comfortable. We really appreciated all of these - especially after a flight and long drive.

We look forward to staying here again!

Secluded, Quiet, Beautiful, Bright and Sunny- Perfect for 2

Fantastic stay up the hill from town in a very well-appointed, well-designed, clean loft above a garage.
Wonderful deck, very comfortable queen bed, excellent water and water pressure, The skylights and overall layout of the loft allow lots of sunshine and air to circulate, while one enjoys sitting in a cozy leather chair, a rocker, pullout sofa or relaxing on the bed under the overhead fan.

The kitchenette is perfectly sized for this modest sized space which includes mini-sized sink, toaster, microwave, fridge and stove. All performed great and were a pleasure to use. Well stocked with dishes, pots/pans etc.

Greg and Carolyn are excellent hosts living in the house on the property and have taken care to make sure guests have all they need for a great stay. The dining room table held a basket containing a fresh baked loaf of Carolyn's chocolate banana bread, a hand assembled a binder chock full of information on the Mt. Shasta area including menus, maps, newspapers and other tourist items of interest, hot chocolate, tea and other handy items.

Highly recommended!
