Loft with a View

This was a very charming loft/studio apartment. Greg & Carolyn gave clear instructions and asked that we call when we were about an hour away and they had a lovely little fire going when we arrived. They were very friendly and welcoming, yet not intrusive. As far as the space - it was quite spacious for a studio. The bed was very comfortable. My daughter slept on the pull out bed and it was what you'd expect from a pull out, which was absolutely fine. It was about as clean as your average hotel room, so that was adequate. All in all it met our needs and we had a great little vacation.

The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 stars was because the wood stove was missing a fiberglass gasket seal around the door, so the first night my husband was up almost every hour to add wood to the fire to keep it going - without the seal it burned through wood too quickly. The next day he mentioned it to Greg, who apparently knew it was missing but did nothing about it - so my husband went to the hardware store and for about $15 bought a new piece of fiberglass gasket and some adhesive and fixed the seal himself. The next night the wood burned a lot slower and we were able to get some sleep.
