Shore Pines is a wonderful beach home in the dunes of Klipsan Beach on the Long Beach Peninsula. This great home is 2600 sq. feet -- room enough for up to 8 people. The downstairs has a large family room with TV and a futon as well as a bedroom with a full bed. There's a games table in the family room, which offers pool, air hockey and ping pong (a smaller version), and a curtained sleeping alcove with a twin bed too. The laundry room is also downstairs and there’s a large bath with a claw-foot tub and standing shower. Upstairs are the living room, kitchen and dining area plus the master bedroom with queen bed. There are one and a half baths upstairs too. The full bath has a jetted tub and separate shower. The living room has TV with both a VCR and DVD player and a stereo. Shore Pines even has wireless internet. The living room has a great view of the ocean and the dunes too. There’s also a hide-a-bed in the living room. In the kitchen there’s a phone for your use; no long distance but local calls are OK. Outside there’s ample parking and there’s a shared path to the beach nearby. For your comfort, Shore Pines is non-smoking and no pets.
There’s plenty to explore on the Long Beach Peninsula – all 26 plus miles of it. Great shopping and a variety of restaurants are all close by, plus lots of things for the kids to do. Long Beach is about 8 miles to the south. The Bolstad beach approach is a hub of activity year-round, but especially during the summer months, with the International Kite Festival in August and of course fireworks on Independence Day and New Year’s Eve. There’s miniature golf, the arcade and carnival rides are nearby.
Just a couple more miles south of Long Beach are Ilwaco and Cape Disappointment as well as Waikiki Beach and the North Head lighthouse. There are some great art galleries at the Port of Ilwaco, and during the summer months there’s Saturday Market too, with a variety of local arts and crafts, foods, flowers and plants for sale. You can even see pirates at times. Ilwaco also has its own fireworks in July. The Port also features some fine restaurants with local seafood offerings created by our great chefs. Or take a charter trip for salmon, halibut, tuna or sturgeon.
If you drive north from the house about 3 miles to Ocean Park there are bookstores, restaurants and gift stores and more beaches to explore. Visit Jack’s Country Store to see this historic yet current meeting place. In Nahcotta you can buy fresh oysters or baked goods and enjoy the wonderful views of Willapa Bay. On the extreme north end of the Peninsula, the place to see is Ledbetter Point State Park -- it’s a wonderful place for hiking to the beach or to the bay.
Set in the dunes, Shore Pines is special home you’re sure to enjoy with family and friends. Call us for more information or to make a reservation!
