Wish we were back in Loreto

This casa was very comfortable - we loved the inner courtyard, the upper deck, the gorgeous bathrooms, the king size beds and the big kitchen. My daughter's 2 friends came up from Cabo and stayed in the hotel for 3 days - one of the friends was a chef and he barbequed us delicious dinners every night, my favourite was fresh sea bass that we bought at the "fresh market" down the street. He was impressed with the well-equipped kitchen.
The location of the casa was good, a short stroll through beautiful walkways brought you to a clean beach close to the hotel, we often ordered lunch from the swim-up bar / cafe and just took it to the beach and ate in our lawnchairs, (recommend the fish tacos and cobb salad).
The beach was quite windy most afternoons so we either planned an activity or just laid by the community pool which was very pretty and the perfect temperature shielded from the wind.
We to the Vista del Mar restaurant and loved it, and we went to del Borrocho restaurant and on to the San Javier Mission another day ...fun but scary drive! Jorge, who has a palapa on the beach where he rents kayaks etc- arranged a boat tour for us to Coronado Island. He had a boat pick us up on the beach and take us out for a wonderful day. We travelled with a pod of dolphins leaping all around us for awhile and when we got to the island the sea lions heralded our arrival by barking and then we had a picnic and snorkelling in the clear blue water.
Another day we were sitting on the beach and a large pod of Orcas swam by - they were so active some leaped right out the water and did a little acrobatics.
Mostly we just enjoyed reading, playing cards, drinking cervezas and suntanning. The inn was very quiet - the whole holiday was super relaxing, just what we needed.
