Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 7)

This cute cabin has the US Forest Service 'Green Cottage Access Site' named after it. It is located on over a mile of private riverfront land in the middle of the 'Flies Only - Catch and Release' section of the Pere Marquette River. Come to fish, kayak, canoe or just relax on the deck overlooking the river. Kayak, canoe rentals, and grocery store just a mile away.

You will have access to the entire 80 acres to hike, fish or just relax. The cabin, built in the 1930's, has been written up in many fly fishing books as one of the best fly fishing areas for natural reproducing German Brown Trout, Steelhead and of course the Fall Salmon run. No phones, cable TV - just peace and quite 'river time'.

We purchased this property in 2001 and have enjoyed the peacefulness of the river ever since.

What makes this cabin unique

This cabin is situated within 15 ft. of the river with excellent access to fishing, kayaking or canoeing. During the summer months, the Forest Service limits rental kayaks/canoes/rafts access from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. only.

Just returned from a 3 night kayaking vacation with my family. I could not have been more pleased with the cabin. The deck and fire pit overlook the crystal clear Pere Marquette river. The boat ramp is right next door. The cabin is well stocked and furnished. The owners truly want to share their "peace of heaven" with guests. I enjoyed walking their vast property with my golden retriever in the mornings and evenings. I will be back.

Our family had a fantastic relaxing vacation at Green Cottage! Green Cottage is literally right on the beautiful Pere Marquette River, just South and West of Baldwin. If you like to fish or like to kayak or canoe, this is the perfect place on the perfect river! Green Cottage is a well known landmark and serves as the drop-in/take out for canoes and kayaks, the fishing is excellent, especially in the spring and fall with the Steelhead and Salmon runs. The cabin has everything in it that you need, it was clean and well-maintained. We certainly will be going back for future family vacations as the river is so peaceful and relaxing. Owners were very friendly and accomodating.
