Casa Vista Azul is a modern three bedroom, two bath multi-level home on the beautiful island of Cozumel just off the Mayan Riviera east of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. The house features two sundecks, a patio and a roof-top palapa (shaded roof) with hammock and chairs to relax and enjoy the coolness of the mornings and evenings and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
Casa Vista Azul is situated in an upscale residential area at the south end of the main town on Cozumel, San Miguel. The house is a short 10 minute drive from the Cozumel Airport or just five minutes from the main ferry dock at the center of town.
A full kitchen with all amenities for preparing and serving meals is provided along with a bottled water dispenser and adequate living and dining room accommodations. A flat screen television / dvd player is available for watching movies in the family room. WiFi is also available. Bed linens and towels are provided and a washer / dryer are available on the second floor for light laundry chores. All bedrooms and main living areas are air conditioned with individually controlled units and fans / screen doors/windows allow for nice breezes throughout the house on most days.
The three bedrooms all have queen beds and adequate closet space (the master bedroom has a walk-in closet). The house sleeps six comfortably. A rinse tank and drying hooks are located in the front yard of the house that is handy for cleaning dive and snorkel gear. We also provide beach towels and beach gear (ice chests, some snorkel gear) for seaside outings. If you have your own snorkel we recommend bringing it as the snorkels get used quite a bit.
Maid service is available if requested at an additional cost. Most of our guests at Casa Vista Azul do not require (or desire) daily maid service during their stay unless renting for long periods.
Kelly, our property manager, will meet you at the property and get you settled into the house and also help if there is any issue during your stay. Kelly is also very helpful with advice on local attractions, excursions to the mainland, or to help find something on the island. Kelly can also arrange for a local chef to prepare meals at the property for a reasonable fee. Local service cell phone is provided for you to make local calls for taxis and restaurants.
Casa Vista Azul offers a more personal, laid back and affordable getaway on the island of Cozumel. It is fun to be able to set your own pace and agenda for your stay on the island. Staying at Casa Vista Azul is a pleasant alternative to the hustle and bustle of traditional hotels and resorts, offering a quieter, more intimate residential setting. If you like being away from the often crowded hotel environment and want a nice place to call home while exploring the wonders of Cozumel, Casa Vista Azul is your place to stay!

The Goldes and Shermans from Utah fell in love with the clear blue waters and wild sandy beaches on Cozumel while on a scuba-diving trip in 2005. Shortly afterwards, we bought Casa Vista Azul as a place to call home while on the island. We have had many friends and guests visit and all have loved the accomodations at Casa Vista Azul. We hope you come and enjoy it too!
Rick and Debbie Golde, Carolyn and Michael Sherman purchased this house in 2006
This location is in a very nice residential section in the southern part of town (San Miguel) and we feel very welcome and safe here. We have great neighbors, and the house is also very close to everything you will need and want to do. It's like having your own private island!
We like to scuba dive and snorkel, and Cozumel is world famous for its fabulous dive sites. Dive With Martin is our favorite dive shop. Tell them we sent you! We also love to snorkel and explore the mostly wild sandy beaches on the south and east side of the island. The weather is usually very pleasant, and when it does rain it doesnt last long.
Just wanted to say how much fun we had a your place on Cozumel. We had a blast snorkeling and the dive guides at Dive with Martin were very helpful and patient with us as new divers. Every dive we went on was AMAZING! but our favorite was the wall at ElCedral. Fabulous! We splurged one night and had a Chef come to the house and cook dinner for us while we soaked in the yummy hot tub and drank too many rum drinks. That was a real treat. I hope we can come back soon. So much to do and so little time! Two weeks wasn't enough.
From our initial contact with the owners to Kelly's informative and welcoming greeting, our vacation was off to a great start. We enjoyed every aspect of this house and location: the overall design, comfortable beds, and well-supplied kitchen. It was pleasant to drink coffee in the morning and wine in the evening on the covered rooftop deck. From there, we watched the antics of the iguanas on the neighbor's boundary walls and palm trees. We liked the neighborhood atmosphere, especially the little children playing across the street and the peacock that strutted on a nearby roof. We like to walk and found that we could walk to most every place we wanted to go, and everyone we encountered along the way was friendly. It is a very safe place. The few cabs we used were reasonable and efficient. We definitely want to stay here again and highly recommend the house/location to anyone.
The house was just like we remembered it, PERFECT!!! We were greeted by the friendly manager and all of our needs were taken care of. We would recommend this place to anyone. The bikes at the house were a great source of transportation.
This was our second visit to Casa Vista Azul. We loved it as much if not more than the first time. The house was immaculate and the property manager met us at the door. Snacks and cold beer were available to hold us over until we could go grab a taco at our favorite local establishment. Having bikes available made our trip much more enjoyable. Biking made getting to our favorite eateries much more enjoyable and less time consuming.
Our primary goal was to dive as much as possible. When our diving was interrupted we were able to pass the time with the movie selection and entertaining ourselves with the internet. After diving all morning and stuffing ourselves with fresh juice and tacos it was wonderful to take a nap in the hammock up in the palapa. There was always a nice breeze and it was my favorite way to rest up for the evening.
After returning to the US, I have already made an inquiry to secure the house for an upcoming trip in the fall. It is my go to property on Cozumel. The owners and property manager are absolutely a delight to work with.
I would HIGHLY recommend Casa Vista Azul as your next vacation home while in Cozumel.
We stayed at Casa Vista Azul for a month and have only positives to report. Right from the initiation of the reservation process and throughout our stay, all inquiries were answered promptly and thoroughly by both Rick and Kelly. Also, Kelly was there waiting patiently for us after some bad weather caused a delay in our arrival. Kelly is a wonderful source of information and is always readily available.
The house itself is as described/pictured and the amenities are exceptional. Not once during our stay did we find ourselves lacking anything. The house is very well maintained from the front gate to the upper sundeck - which was my personal favorite spot! Also the bicycles (4) are wonderful to have. The location of the house allows you to avoid the crowds yet still easily access everything, with the exception of the east side, without needing a car.
I would highly recommend Casa Vista Azul to anyone travelling to Cozumel that understands the benefits of not being waterfront. We hope to return soon!
Not our first trip to Cozumel but our first stay at this house. Excellent from the minute we were greated at the door. House very clean and well equipted. Staff very friendly. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay with you. Very comfortable. We will definetely be staying here again.
This is my second stay at Casa Vista Azul and I can't recommend it enough. I love the location. There are many places to explore on foot... walk around the corner to a Cockteleria for some ceviche or Pescado Frito, or up to 30th for corn ice cream (I know but it's good), and even more by bike (a couple beach cruiser come with the place). The location really can't be beat, there are grocery stores and restaurants/ eateries all very close.
If you chose to stay in and eat, everything needed to cook a meal is available in the modern kitchen. The house is nicely appointed and decorated. It is clean and well maintained. All the furniture is in good condition and comfortable. It is an easy place to relax and enjoy the island.
