This is one of three vacation rentals on this property.

Ideal place to stay for visiting the beautiful Santa Barbara area. The property is located in an upscale neighborhood above Tucker's Grove Park. Affordable, peaceful and quiet 1 bedroom with full bath nestled in 1 ½ acre of land. The bedroom is closed off to the main house with its own bathroom inside the bedroom. This bedroom walls is not adjacent to any other bedroom walls. It has a private patio entrance that leads out to a landscaped garden with tropical plants and a distance view of UCSB and a peak of the ocean. There is a beautiful mosaic table at the patio for you to enjoy your morning breakfast and surf the net while taking in the gorgeous views.

This is a great place to stay to visit family and friends or to bring your child to visit UCSB. We are centrally located between downtown Santa Barbara and UCSB. We are about 5 min drive (5 miles) to Santa Barbara airport, UCSB, closest beach, hiking trails, bike path to Goleta beach; 10 min to downtown Santa Barbara; 35 bike ride to UCSB.

A car is needed to get to the property. No need to hunt for off street parking. Parking space is provided within the property.

I have three vacation rentals on this property. Please inquire about my other units if your dates are not available on this unit. I may be able to accommodate all your dates on another unit or split your dates between two units if if you are willing to move from one unit to another on this same property.

Great Santa Barbara Getaway

My husband and I are frequent visitors to Santa Barbara because our daughter is attending UCSB. We feel so fortunate to have found Chris’s vacation rentals. We are regular guests because of the wonderful accommodations she provides at such great prices. Chris provides all of the amenities you would need for a wonderful vacation getaway. Her home is situated on a beautifully landscaped area with great views. We spend relaxing mornings enjoying coffee on the patio. If we want to avoid the restaurant scene, the mini fridge, microwave, toaster oven and utensils/tableware make it easy for us to enjoy a meal in the comfort of our room. The room we stayed in on this particular trip is spacious enough for the two of us, yet could have accommodated our daughter had she wanted to stay overnight with us. A long desk in the room served double duty as a dining table when we wanted to eat in. The WiFi is fast and reliable. There is lots of storage space for clothes. Chris even provided games and books in the room.

We love working with Chris. She is accommodating, responsive, and friendly, yet unobtrusive. She can provide great recommendations for restaurants, hiking and other local activities. She also keeps the comfort of her guests in mind. This past weekend was unusually warm, and she offered us a fan in case we were too hot.

We highly recommend Chris’s rentals for your stay in Santa Barbara.

Best place for 2 persons in Santa Barbara

We spent 16 nights there and we would have liked to stay longer !!! It's wonderful to have breakfast in the patio, looking at palm trees and other tropical plants . The place is very clean, no trafic noise and there is a splendid pool . The owner is really very nice and helpful, and she was very patient with our bad English . We felt at home !And you also may enjoy , if you like dogs and pet her, the company of a lovely labrador ! Next time we go to Santa Barbara , we go back there for sure ( if it's available ) .

Great place to styaywhile in SB

My mother and I stayed here while we were visiting Santa Barbara for a wedding. I looked around for other places to stay and then found homeaway. I was lucky enough to find Cris' property and it was available. I found out a friend would be driving back to N. Cal. with me, so on our second night we had three people. The apace was large enough, great channels available on cable (mom had access to her Spanish channels), wi-fi available, very clean, love the bathroom space.

Chris is very friendly and takes good care of her property I highly recommend this rental and will most likely use it again when I go back to SB. We felt very safe while there. You will need a car to stay here, but it is centrally located to every spot we needed to go... never more than 10-20 minutes away.

Very Nice Studio

We really enjoyed the studio for our short visit to Santa Barbara. It was as advertised - charming and peaceful. it was also clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable. The kitchenette was adequate for breakfast and snacking. Chris made the move Ian's out easy. I plan to stay there again when I return for my next visit.

Pleasant room, lovely view

The room was off the owner's house about six miles from downtown Santa Barbara and about the same from the UCSB campus. The room was clean and just big enough for two people. The private bathroom was nice, though the shower water pressure was a little weak. There was a cute table on the patio overlooking a lovely view. With the windows open, we could hear people, either the owners or other renters. On the whole I would recommend the place. We had a nice stay.
