Casa Amarilla is one of the few BEACHFRONT homes overlooking the famous surf break at San Pedrito, Baja California Sur. The newly constructed Casa Amarilla offers a complete kitchen, bathroom, living and dining areas, terrazas and spectacular views of the beach, surf, and sunsets! Mexican accented tile adds to the ambiance. Besides enjoying the fun of the beach and surf right outside Casa Amarilla, the views and sounds of the surf generate a sense of place while being seen and heard from the kitchen, dining and living area.. Imagine waking up (or even washing dishes!) to an ocean view! This is Baja!
The white sand beach, a leatherback turtle nesting area, extends 3 miles to the south across El Pescadero and is perfect for long walks. Just step outside to begin! When Humpback and Gray whales are migrating offshore, their spouts, flukes and occasional breaching can be seen from the beach and this beach house. This area is one of the few water-rich locales along the desert Baja coast, giving rise to native palm groves and small local Mexican farms growing basil, chilies, herbs and flowers just inland from the beach community.
Nearby, the restaurant and bar of the “Rancho Pescadero”, a boutique resort/hotel, are accessible from the beach or road, a short walk (¼ mile) south of Casa Amarilla. The beach house is just a few minutes (less than 2 miles) drive from the tiendas (small grocery stores), taco stands, restaurants, gas station, and a sports bar in the community of El Pescadero. The historic town of Todos Santos, designated as a “Pueblo Magico” is just a 10 minute drive north, and offers a variety of restaurants, great taco stands, tiendas, craft shops, banks, and art galleries, all within walking distance of its church and plaza. Or, load Casa Amarillas beach umbrella, beach chairs, and cooler into your car and head for Los Cerritos Beach, just a 7 minute drive south of Casa Amarilla, a family friendly swimming beach with lifeguards, surfboard rentals, and a beachside restaurant/bar. Of course, all the activities of cruise ship destination Cabo San Lucas are about a half hour's drive south.

This place was great. I came with my mother, sister and boyfriend to spend Thanksgiving week together, and it was perfect. The lower level is bright and airy, and a really fun space to cook and hang out in. We had bonfires on the beach a few nights (thanks to hurricane driftwood), and spend the days walking the beach, playing the waves, and watching whales just off shore. The house was very comfortable for four people - two foutons in the living room were comfortable, there was lots of closet space in the bedroom, and the bathroom sink is separated from the shower, which helped with more people. It's a three-minute walk to the beach, and you could walk for a few hours up and down the little bay. There are a few good restaurants as you head down the road toward the house, and much more in Todos Santos. We mostly just stuck around the house, though, grilling fresh fish (on the grill that's provided) and enjoying the quiet.
I'd definitely recommend this house and Pescadero for anyone looking to enjoy the ocean and have some peace and quiet!
My husband and I stayed at Casa Amarilla and had an amazing, restful vacation. We were looking for a quiet getaway with access to the beach and we couldn't have found a better place. The views from the upstairs unit were beautiful and we miss waking up to them. The neighboring beach (Playa Los Cerritos) and town (Todos Santos) were fun and we met very nice people. This was our first time in Los Cabos and Casa Amarilla made such a great impression, we can't wait to visit again.
I cannot say enough good things about Casa Amarilla, from start to finish every aspect was great! We had numerous questions prior to coming down and the owner, Brian, was always very helpful and quick to respond. He also happened to be there at the same time we were so when we arrived we were greeted by him and Mark the property manager, both are very nice guys and willing to help with anything you need. We have stayed in El Pescadero several times and this house is in the perfect location! The views are outstanding! The house is one of the few truly beachfront homes in the area! We stayed in the upstairs unit and you could see the ocean from every single window! Theres' nothing like sitting in your living room watching whales breech in the ocean! The house itself is new, very well kept, and has more amenities than most vacation rentals. It seems attention was paid to every detail! The kitchen is fully stocked and has plenty of space. There is a television with DVD and satellite but you probably wont need it because there are so many things to do in the area. From the front balcony you can take in the beautiful weather, watch for whales, or just enjoy the view by day and enjoy the star filled sky at night. We loved it here and will definitely be back!
What a dream come true, we absolutely love Casa Amarilla! This was our second stay and we can't wait to return. It is the perfect getaway for rest and relaxation but town is also a close enough drive to enjoy cultural events and dining out in Todos Santos. The kitchen is well stock with all the essential amenities so you can enjoy all the local fish and fresh produce in your casita too. It is very clean and tastefully decorated with lots of privacy. The beach is just steps out your front door.. this is our favorite go to place!!
We spent 5 marvellous days in Casa Amarilla, everything was perfect. From the location in front of an amazing beach, a very spacious and beautiful house with a FANTASTIC kitchen, friendly neighbours.. really, the whole thing exceeded our expectations.
The manager does an amazing job and the whole rental process was really easy, and we got to meet the owner who is also a terrific guy..
We really hope to be able to come back to Casa Amarilla in the future
I live in La Paz, and my daughter lives in Sacramento. We wanted a mother-daughter get-away. After extensive review of many rentals, we chose Casa Amarilla. What a find! We were right on the water in a large beautiful home. It is a two-story and we had the entire first floor. We could just walk right out on the beach. The surf was a little too rough for swimming, but the sound of the waves crashing at night was the perfect elixir for a restful sleep. The manager, Mark, was very helpful and suggested two great places to eat. One is the coffee shop seven minutes from the house called the Baja Bean (great lattes and croisants), and the other is a small, authentic Mexican restaurant called Marlins. It is located right out on the main road. The best restaurant in the entire area is in Todos Santos. It is called the Galeria de Todos Santos and is run by Michael and Pat Cope. They are only open for dinner Friday and Saturday nights and close for the summer. They will reopen in October. All in all a wonderful experience I know my daughter and I will cherish forever.
Nearby Gypsy Tours offers Coastal Mountain Hiking, Panga Boat Fishing, Horseback riding, and tours to El Triungo and the Piano Museo (ask for contact information). Its an easy day trip to surfing lessons at El Cerritos Beach, ATV rentals in the desert, golf in La Paz and Cabo San Lucas, great coral reef snorkeling between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, wind surfing in the Sea of Cortez.
