Jungle Lodge is an intimate lodge on a private Nature Reserve, near the entrance of Tortuguero National Park. This area is also the legendary home of Costa Rica Tarpon fishing where
Fishermen pay $3000 per week to stay at the lodge and chase large game fish. However, during certain weeks of the year the lodge is available for exclusive Family, Corporate or Adventure groups at rates comparable to hotel accommodations. Fishing and Jungle Exploration adventures can be added at additional cost.
the Lodge is on an island bounded on the East by the Caribbean Sea and on the West by the river highway of the Tortuguero region. The waterway is beautiful and is the only way to travel in this area. Access to the lodge is by riverboat, upriver from the end of the road from San Jose. It is a approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours from San Jose. transfers can be arranged and or included in the cost of the hotel rooms.
The Tortuguero Jungle region is beautiful beyond description. It is why we chose to build here 20 years ago. The Caribbean Sea brings returning turtles to nest on our beaches, The River is populated with Manatee, fish and Saltwater Crocodiles, and the jungle canopy is filled with sloths and monkeys and one of the most diverse bird populations on the planet. While the lodge and staff will impress and insure a wonderful vacation, it is the jungle that will be the enduring memory.
The lodge sits near the rivers edge, surrounded by towering jungle palms and Bamboo trees. There are 5 large bedrooms, each with 2 king beds. Each room is built with exotic jungle wood and tile full baths. An owners suite, with television, bar and lounge can be available for group gatherings and Happy Hour.
All meals are included and served in the riverfront dining pavilion. Our ladies will prepare your meals of healthy food, much of it grown on the property or collected from the ocean. Breakfast is much like the breakfasts in United States and lunches are sit down style in the dining room with rice, Beans, the famous "Gallo Pinto", chicken, meat and fruits and vegetables. Dinner features fruits and vegetables, chicken, meat and and local seafood.. A traditional Happy Hour, and "Open Bar" can be included into the price so bring your beverage of choice with you. It can be purchased on the way to the lodge..
Jungle Lodge is a well known property in the fishing and Adventure Travel world. Angelo, our jungle raised and English speaking manager will oversee your schedule and give you an authentic insight into the secrets of this memorable region. Also available, as options for your full enjoyment, will be offshore and inshore boats, and kayaks, and experienced and licensed English speaking guides to take you on daily fishing and jungle eco tours.
Most of our guests reserving the lodge add some or all of the adventure activities for which the area is famous. The lodge manager will attend to your schedules and well being and will be there to oversee any of the fishing or jungle Eco Tours that you and your group want to experience. It is possible to add whitewater rafting, fishing, daily jungle tours, kayaking, Turtle Beach walks, jungle village visits, canopy tours, Harness Zip Line swings, and evening Crocodile spotting. It is also possible to add to the jungle trip with a 2 day journey to the hot pools and eruptions of an active volcano. The published rates will include use of the lodge, all meals, double occupancy rooms (triple if you like), transfers form San Jose to the end of the road can be arranged by private van. Daily activities can include morning and afternoon in-river fishing and Eco tours. You can also include offshore fishing. These options can be added at an extra charge.

The lodge rents on an exclusive basis to a minimum of 4 people. The rate is $150 per person per day with a minimum of 4 days, thus $2400. Guests numbering over 6 are at the rate of $100 a day.
Says of longer than 4 days are at $100 per person per day.
The rental includes boat transfers to and from Cano Blanco, all meals, double occupancy rooms, kayaks are also available for paddles into the intimate algoons. Optional daily guided activities include Jungle River tours, Tortuguero Turtle Beach Walks and River Fishing for Tarpon or Snook. The price is $150 per person for the morning and afternoon charters and $100 for only an afternoon or morning charter. Offshore fishing in the morning for Tarpon is an additional $100 per person. The private van transfers from San Jose to Cano Blanco are $100 per person with a minimum of 4 people. Transfers can be arranged to Cano Blanco from other locations within Costa Rica.
