When relaxing by the pool area or Kiva Fire Place, you will notice your own private Saguaro Cactus-bed complete with prickly pear cactus and other Sonoran desert indigenous plantings. The landscaping is artfully completed and is only surpassed by the all-encompassing views: Look straight ahead and you are looking at the beginning of the beautiful McDowell Mountain range. We 'locals'' simply know it better as, Troon Mountain.
When you are tired of just relaxing, then it is time to enjoy the many outdoor activities inherent to the area. The hiking in the area is phenomenal. Take a 1 hour (up and back) walk from the base of Pinnacle Peak to the observation area to take in the outstanding views. Pinnacle Peak is 'Family Friendly' and easy for all.
Or indulge your need for varying degrees of challenge and exercise by taking a more rigorous hike on one of the many trails in the McDowell Mountain Regional Park. The biking is great in the area as well!

Each year, Troon North Golf course's Monument and Pinnacle courses rank number 1 and 2 for best public courses in Arizona and it is only a 4 minute drive away! Within a 30 minute's drive you will find scores of excellent courses from the much acclaimed TPC Scottsdale to the incredible views of We-Ko-Pa. You will be challenged, but you will never be bored playing the many great desert courses that the area has to offer.

ABOUT THE OWNER:
Hi! My name is Chris and I am the co-owner of the property that you are considering for your rental in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona. I want to tell you a little about me to help you become familiar with the person that you will be trusting do deliver a great vacation home and family memories, all at a great price.
My wife and I, and our two adult children live in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
I am an avid golfer, hiker and runner. In addition, I like to relax in the warmth of the Sonoran desert when it is time to unwind from my busy Wealth Management practice in which I am a partner.
As a long-time fan of the desert southwest, my family and I have been traveling to the Phoenix / Scottsdale area twice per year for the last 14 years. We fell in love with North Scottsdale 12 years ago. The hiking in Phoenix, Scottsdale and Cave Creek are wonderful as well as some of the scenic views that you take in while running in the area.
The shopping and great restaurants keep me and the family busy when we are not relaxing by the pool or taking in the nature of the High Sonoran desert. We often will do a day trip (north, to Red Rock / Sedona or west to Prescott or south to Tucson). Either direction affords us a change of scenery all within a two hour drive. We have even done a long weekend in Las Vegas via driving (including seeing the Hoover dam!)
Our long-term goal is to eventually live in Scottsdale from January through April to escape the cold of the Northeast. Until that time arises, you will have the opportunity to enjoy our lovely getaway destination.
