Captiva - Pool Home - Footsteps to Beach and Bay 'Blue Heaven'

We loved the walking distance both to the beach and the small downtown Captiva. Kids all loved the pool! Easily accomodated 2 family's of 5.

My husband and I treated our family (sons, wives and 4 granddaughters) to a wonderful stay at Blue Heaven this summer. We enjoyed everything about it. It is a true beach house, cozy and relaxed for children. Wonderful sleeping spaces as we had plenty of room to spread out. It was perfect for beach walks, pool relaxing and cooling down. The village is very close, which we loved. We enjoyed many of the restaurants plus nightly ice cream for the girls. Dancing at the Mucky Duck and a wonderful anniversary dinner for my husband & I (40 years) at The Thistle Inn on Sanibel. The highlight of the trip was cruising to see dolphins and my son catching a Lemon Shark on a fishing trip. Wonderful time for all. In fact, we weren't off the plane when my granddaughter left me an email asking can we return next year.... Would love to. Thank you to the owners for sharing their wonderful house.... p.s. The best for me was the nightly sunsets on the beach!!!!

My family of 11 stayed at this property for a week. Although the home was in need of minor maintenance, we really enjoyed the location and homey feel. We were all comfortable and had plenty of space. We really enjoyed the local shops, marinas, and the beautiful beaches! We spent a lot of time walking and enjoying the area. We used the nice grill for cooking meals and spent a lot of time in the pool. As far as up-keeps, I would recommend that the wood deck be worked on due to uplifting and that the showers get a good cleaning in corners and door areas. The master glass shower door needs immediate attention because it catches on the marble causing it to heavily scrape. We ereally loved being together in one home and enjoyed what Blue Heaven had to offer!
