Amazingly Beautiful Cabin and Location...We will definitely stay again!
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Maggie's Place and it was wonderful! When we arrived we were amazed. The heat was on, the beds were made with comfy flannel sheets, and the place was beautifully decorated. We felt like we were at home.
The view from the cabin is breathtaking. We saw deer in the yard and the partially frozen pond was serene with Canada Geese floating about. We sat on the front porch and let the cool mountain air take us away. We soaked in the candle lit jacuzzi after a long day of snow skiing.....it was heavenly! Basically we relaxed and enjoyed...no schedule, just us and mountains.
The location was perfect... centrally located and minutes from downtown Boone, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock. We were in the mountains but not far from great restaurants and fabulous antique shops in all three neighboring towns, the theater at Appalachian State University, snow skiing at Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain, hiking at Grandfather Mountain, and the original Mast General Store.
When i was forced to make contact with reality, I had a question about accessing the wireless Internet connection. My call was answered immediately and within seconds I was connected. Maggie was friendly and attentive and ensured that our stay was perfect!
Thank you Maggie....we will be back to stay with you again next year and maybe bring the kids along... maybe!
