THANK YOU for visiting my listing #339304. I hope Casa De Siesta LLC fits your needs, and that we can soon meet in person!
Hello future guest(s), my name is Richard and I am a Native New Mexican. My heart's desire is to offer an affordable, safe, and clean rental. And that's what I have achieved! My Casita is 980sqt. of beautiful and comfortable living space created and staged perfectly for you my guests. I live in the front home, on the property, so I am available to assist you if needed, but always respecting your privacy!
Look no further you have found a wonderful place to stay when visiting Albuquerque or New Mexico...
I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 25 years and I am an award winning Chef and operated my own catering business for over 12 years. Along with managing the Vacation Home, I also have dealt in Antiques and Collectibles.
My hearts passion is seeing that my guest(s) feel like family and are comfortable in their new surroundings.
Being that I personally manage and live on the property, I am only steps away or a phone call away if you need anything. My family has lived in Albuquerque for many generations, and my ancestry is from Spain and France,
(of royal descent!), or so they say! (ha, ha).
As you will experience, Albuquerque and New Mexico, the Land of Enchantment, is a very special place to visit and live. Our weather is almost perfect, most of the time, with the most beautiful sunsets and mountains. A great asset for you the visitor is that I am very familiar with the City & surrounding areas and am always eager to share ideas and historical information!
As you will experience for yourself, the reason why I live in the Historic Downtown District is because it is truly a WONDERFUL PLACE TO LIVE! I enjoy all the rich culture and the diversity of the residents, the homes each with their own personality, nothing like cookie-cutter homes, a beautiful kaleidoscope of Heritage and ethnic flavor. My home is centrally located to most everything. The two freeways I-25 and I-40 are just a few miles from my door step. The Albuquerque International Sunport Airport is a mere 5.5 miles/10 min. drive as well.
One big reason I love the Downtown Area is because of it's charm and beautiful architectural designs of the homes and buildings: a combination of Victorian and Southwestern styles. This area is much more settled then most other parts of Albuquerque, the trees are larger and most folige is settled and grows beautifully in the Spring and just shows off during the Summer days! On Weekends the Downtown area is very calm and quiet being that all the workers leave for the weekend. It becomes your own little quiet getaway away from the hustle and bustle of daily work. And I extend a personal invitation for you and your loved one(s) to experience first hand!
I choose to walk daily for excercise, and the Downtown Historic District is VERY WALK-FRIENDLY and close to many tourist attractions. A few blocks West of the Casa is a Lower Corner Market a neighborhood grocery store, a full-service and self-service Laundromat blocks away. A Pizza Hut is just across the main street of the Casa as well as Fusion Latin Restaurant a local favorite featured on HGTV.
A bank and Subway Restaurant about 2 blocks East just a short walk away. Old Town and Route 66 is a 3 min drive, or a 15 min. walk away! It only takes about 25 min. to get to the base of the Sandia Mountains where you will be blown away by the vast beauty of our clear skys and outstanding unobstructed views, and Santa fe is only a 45 min. ride. A beautiful and magical city our State Capital. Can take Turqoise trail and go through Madrid, and old mining town, where Wild Hogs the movie was filmed.
