To say that the pictures do not do this property justice would be a good start. My wife and I love Vermont, and we travel there quite frequently. If we had sufficient budget and unlimited amounts of good taste, THIS is the house we would have built for ourselves. All three bedrooms are very generous with good views. The master is very well decorated and has a grand view as well as a private exit to the back patio. The master bath is honestly one of the most beautiful bathrooms I have ever seen! The entire bathroom (floor, walls, shower, etc) is finished in georgeous golden/yellow marble. Massive shower, generous soaking tub. VERY luxurious!
Oh, and the patio? Amazing! Normally when we travel to Woodstock, we spend a lot of time wandering around the Green. This trip we spent a LOT of time sitting on the patio, sipping wine, and looking over the beautiful panoramic view.
The kitchen is bigger than most urban apartments, and is perfectly finished with a massive center island with bar sink, high end professional grade appliances, built in fridge/freezer, etc. Once again - we typically eat out quite a bit in Woodstock, but on this trip cooked several meals, made salads, etc.
Basically, staying in the house was an amazing experience, it was perfectly maintained and absolutely "pitch perfect" and ready on arrival. The beautiful setting, grand view from the patio, and romantic setting were perfect. The property sits on several acres (I think) of well maintained landscape, and is only a short walk from town. Note that the walk back from town is somewhat steep, but a good way to burn a few dessert calories!
We were promptly greeted at the property by a helpful manager who toured us through, explained how everything worked, etc. We also received a call from the property concierge offering to help us with anything we needed.
Bottom line, if there is any way you have an opportunity to stay here, you should ABSOLUTELY do so. The only down side? It was VERY, VERY hard to go home!!!
