Further details for this vacation house rental in Bozeman, Montana

The Story of the Star House : I bought this home as a primary residence. I drove past it everyday for 6 months, feeling that it should be mine - then one day the 'for sale' sign went up. Standing in the entryway for the first time I told the past owner, 'I want it. Let's make it happen' - without seeing the rest of the house. You too will feel what I felt upon entering... it is special. Then my business demanded that I be in Los Angeles, and so my intentions for the house are to keep it until the day I can 'summer' in Bozeman. Candidly, I don't make any money from renting it - but it does allow me to help offset the mortgage some. Plus I just like to share it with appreciative people. It is *almost* as special as Bozeman itself.

Ski:

The best ski day I've ever had (and I've skied all over the US, and spent a lot of time in Aspen and Vail) was at Moonlight Basin. From the lodge to the short lift lines to the powder to the long runs - it was a dream. The resort is less than hour away from the Star House if you want to make it a day trip.

Like being at home!

Reserving this lovely home was such a friendly and efficient business arrangement and the home itself was all the site said it would be. Easily accessible, ready upon our arrival, adequately equipped for fires, cooking and Christmas trees! The location is great - a good walking neighborhood close to a park and convenient shopping. Our family had an awesome Christmas in Bozeman - we love this town!
Owner's Response: Thanks so much Nancy! I love that you guys felt like it was just like being at home. That's what we are going for! I once stayed at a rental house in Tahoe -- it was very expensive, yet they had all these mismatched, threadbare towels -- really put a bad taste in my mouth. Great place to stay in bozeman

My family of 5 rented the star house in October 2011for a long weekend. We loved the house and especially the outdoor fire pit in the back yard. The kitchen is well appointed and the furnishings are very nice.The location is ideal.....within easy walking distance of the restaurants and shops on main street. We will definitely stay here again.

Comfortable, well-located, with character!

The Star House was a wonderful place to offer my family warm hospitality. I live in Bozeman (and love it here), and needed a place to bring family to stay during a big family get-together, when my own home was already full. Renting the Star House worked really well for us. It is comfortable, well-located and has character. We all enjoyed the stay and would definitely recommend this home to anyone wanting to stay in Bozeman.

A beautiful spring stay!

We stayed at the Star House in June 2011. We really enjoyed the great location and walked almost everywhere. There are two grocery stores a couple of blocks away, main street, the University, and a dog park. The backyard was fantastic. We BBQ'ed, ate at the picnic table and then roasted s'mores in the fire pit. The house was comfortable and well appointed. The Star House is a quaint and comfortable house in the heart of Bozeman.

Charming home

Our family stayed at the Star House this summer for a week to attend a wedding of a family member. We had a wonderful time. The home is charming. It was like being in our own home. The beds were very comfortable we had all the comforts of home. The kitchen was top of the line with all necessary components and supplies. The back yard is adorable and it was perfect for family and great evening BBQ's. The neighborhood is charming with lots of history. It is close to stores, restaurants etc. I would stay there again in a minute. The owner, Jen, is very nice and attentive. We had a great time!!
You will love this charming home!!
