The Finn Inn welcomes you with its warm knotty pine interior and fantastic lake views. Relax in front of the fireplace and the 42” flat screen TV or choose to hang-out on the large well-appointed deck with stainless steel grill, enjoying the birds and the view. Read a book from our library in the air-conditioned sun room or choose to play pool upstairs in the great room. If it is rainy, select a movie from over 100 videos. Sunny, take a swim off our swim platform or fish off the dock. Watch the kids or party from our newly built entertainment area on the dock. Bring your own boat. We have a covered 10' X 30' slip available for you to use as well as cleats on the swim dock to tie off extra boats or sea-doos.
Don't forget the marshmellows for evenings by the fire on the beach.
We are located on the West side of the Lake of the Ozarks, near the 6 mile marker on the Gravois Arm. We are in a quiet cove right off Soap Creek and minutes away from the most popular restaurant/bars on the lake.
The community has a launch ramp for putting in your jet ski or fishing boat. The fishing is great so come on down!
Places nearby: The Gas Hole is right around the corner in Soap Creek as well as a new Jamaican restaurant. Coconuts, Jolly Rogers, Hillbilly Yacht Club, Richard Noggins, Frogs, and Bumps Barefoot Bar and Grill are all within 2 miles by water from here. Shady and Lazy Gators are within 7miles by water. Laurie, Mo is about 8 miles and has everything you need for groceries, shopping, cinema, restaurants and Indian Hills Golf Course. There is a convenience store on P road for quick supplies. The outlet mall, Bagnell Strip, go-karts, water park, etc. are on the East side of the lake about 40 minutes away. Bridal Cave, Frankie and Louie's and Captain Ron’s activities are only about 20 minutes from the house. So pack your bags and bring your family and friends. Our home will be sure to please everyone.
If you like to entertain, you will love our gourmet kitchen with all the gadgets, and appliances you will need. On the entry level, find a large Master Bedroom with Queen Bed, Balcony and Private Bath.
We furnish the dishes, cookware, appliances, bed linens, bath towels and kitchen towels. We also provide starter supplies such as paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags, bath soap and dish detergent. Please bring extras of these supplies for a large group, together with your own beach blankets and towels, personal toiletries, cooler, cleaning supplies, camera, fishing rods and tackle, life vests, floaties, sun-screen and binoculars. You can buy wood for the fire-pit locally. Please do not bring in wood from other areas so that we can control the infestation of beetles.
We retired to Lake of the Ozarks from Las Vegas, NV in 2007 after spending a couple of seasons cruising our boat in Mexico. We wanted a land base and chose this house for our new home. We have lived in this house for 4 years and then decided to go traveling again, this time in our RV. We still live in our RV and share time traveling with spending most of the summer on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. We have spent many an hour making this house our home and want to share it now with you. Please treat it as your own and enjoy being guests in our home.
Pamela Ehtee purchased this house in 2007
We had never been to Lake of the Ozarks and visited here once on our way from Las Vegas to Indiana where Pam was raised. We were going to her high school reunion when we decided to come through here and see what the lake was like. We rented a boat and stayed 3 days in the State Park here and fell in love with the beauty, the amount of fun restaurants and bars on the lake, and the way the locals made us feel at home. Two years later we bought this home and moved out here.
You will find our home very spacious and warm. Even with a large group, there are plenty of private areas to 'get away' for your own relaxation as well as areas for all to gather and have fun. Please read our reviews to see what some of our guests have to say.
I hope that I can put your mind to peace. It was nothing that you
did-your hospitality and so many things were wonderful and the five rating
would be true.
It was the house itself wasn't quite to my taste and you can't
change that. My wife and I have enjoyed staying in a number of these
places. The style of the home was worth exploring, but it was an older home
and darker paneling, after being there it just wasn't my personal taste.
But as to you and the hospitality of the home, we loved a number of
things that were done which were above and beyond. The posted things that
helped us be aware of things. Sitting in the enclosed deck or the outside
deck these were awesome. The number adjusted beds were wonderful. We loved
the quiet of the setting.
You did everything right, it was simply the house setting that
wasn't quite our taste. So as I said be at peace. We would have no trouble
staying there again. We are just explorers of different settings.
My husband and I, along with four friends from California and Northern Indiana, gathered at Finn Inn for a week. We found the house very clean, attractive, and comfortable. Tom, the caretaker, came to introduce himself the first full day.
We enjoyed every space in the house, the boat dock, fire pit, the sunroom, and all the decks.
The town of Laurie has some nice restaurants, but mostly we used the well-appointed kitchen and large grill to prepare "home-cooked"meals. Even with several rainy days, we were happy, taking advantage of the video library.
I hope we will be able to return someday.

We came to the lake as part of our trip to see our soldier graduate at nearby Fort Leonard Wood. We had an amazing time seeing the dedication of our troops to our collective safety as a nation. To top off the whole weekend, we were blessed to stay at the Finn Inn...we have been doing VRBO the last few years and this property is truly one of the finest!! The multiple spaces for gathering or reclusive reading are truly unique...the fire pit is awesome, the multiple decks/porches/dock settings are truly unique....I wanted to stay longer to enjoy them all even more. The kitchen was perfect (we loved the island) and well appointed for all of our needs. The whole process from check-in to check-out was absolutely professional. The owners even had the property manager stop by to see if we needed anything (which we didn't). If we ever have the opportunity to be back in this area, we will check the availability of this property first!!
Your home was exactly how it looked in the pictures. Plenty of room for our family and a great location on the lake. We visited. Jolly Rogers , bumps, coconuts, and frogs all from the water . A very nice ride in our boat and close too the house. Your property manager stopped by our first day and checked in on us to make sure everything was ok. Very helpful. Spent many hours on the dock and on the deck . Home and landscaping were both very nice very well maintained. We had a great time and are planing on staying again next year for two weeks!!! Only thing I can recommend to add to the property would be another outside trash can had some troubles with the raccoons. And maybe a larger one in the kitchen . We did a lot of cooking at home and with a family of ten the trash added up. Other than that we had an awesome vacation!!! Thanks so much for letting us stay in your home.
Pam sent us everything we needed after we booked - information on boat rentals, parking, how to get in, etc. When we arrived we were so pleased to see that it was everything it looked like in the pictures. The house was meticulously maintained and everything we needed was there from cake pans, bowls, peelers, extra paper towels, trash bags, etc. Tom, the property manager, stopped by to check on us and gave us an extension cord for the baby monitor by the fire pit. The only thing I can think of that we needed and didn't have was information on where and how to recycle plastic, aluminum, and glass - but note that we didn't ask Pam or Tom that while we were there so they may have an answer for that.
We had three families in our group (one with a 6-mo-old, another with a 2-mo-old, 3 and 7 year-olds, and one with a 3 and 6-year old). The four bedrooms with bunk beds and big master bedrooms (with plenty of room for pack n plays) suited everyone perfectly. There was plenty of room for us to all hang out together on the main floor or for the kids to watch a quick movie before bed upstairs.
The overall setup was amazing. When the littlest ones were eating or sleeping, we could still somewhat participate from the sun room that overlooked the dock and all the action. All day we were busy on the paddle boat, the noodles, the swing, and a stand up paddleboard we brought. It is a quieter cove than we've been to before so you can use the SUP without big waves bothering you. The seating area on the dock was just perfect. Then, at night after dinner we would retire to the fire pit on the little beach area. The kids LOVED having smores every night and that was a highlight of the trip. We also were able to sit in the shallow water there with the little ones, which does not seem common for the Ozarks.
The weather was perfect and the house and dock was an ideal setup for our group. Pam and Dick were great to work with; they take great care of their home and share with you. We will likely make this an annual trip!
Pictures don't do it justice, we arrived to an immaculate home that is beautifully decorated. Everything from the sitting area on the dock, the fire pit area, swings, covered deck seating area, wonderful sunroom along with the large t.v. room area upstairs were all places that offered wonderful opportunities for much needed down time. We have rented a home at Lake of the Ozarks home for the past 6 years and this one by far is the best one yet! The owners are very detailed oriented, everything was very well maintained. All 8 of us would have changed nothing.
Thank your for providing a perfect get away home for our family of five! The home was clean and very charming. The weather was perfect so we spent a good part of our time on the back deck and down at the dock and of course out on the lake. Your property manger Tom checked in with us the first day to see if we needed anything. He obviouisly does a great job overseeing the property and being available if needed. We didn't have any issues with anything and had a great time. If anyone is looking for a quiet qreat get away spot, look no further. The only issue we had, was not having more time available to enjoy your home.
Thank you for making our family time together great!
