Great Apartment and Location!

MY husband and family stayed at Yate's apartment in Copacabana last month for a week. It was my parents and in-laws first time in Rio. We had a terrific time. The apartment was gorgeous.Really comfortable beds, modern bathrooms, updated kitchen, lots of space and a breath taking patio. As soon we arrived, Lamartine (the house manager) was waiting for us. He showed us the place and made sure to let us know he would be available if needed. During our week, we would walk to the beach every day (1 block away). From Copacabana, we walked to Arpoador, Ipanema and in one of our walks, we had the pleasure to enjoy a lunch at Copacabana Palace. From the apartment, you have great access to restaurants and beach stands. Right down by the building there is a great seafood restaurant, Principe de Monaco. 2 blocks away, it's Le Ble Noir, a French Creperie normandy style. By the beach, lots of Skol and Brahma Beer Stands serving the traditional Brazilian Snacks. If you want to enjoy the day at the beach, Tania 151, rent chairs and sun umbrellas for 3 - 5 reais for the entire day. She also has cold beer and sodas. Finally, I would highly recommend Yate's place and Rio for a vacation. Rio was very safe overall, we felt very comfortable walking around, jumping in cabs and people were very friendly.
