From the outside, a timber frame home may look like other homes you've seen. Step inside The Lodge @ Aho gap and you'll discover what makes them special. From the massive wood timbers that soar up to the ceiling and span the room, the random sized stack stone fireplace, rustic 2 x 6 T/G hardwood flooring and the intricate wrought iron hardware... you will feel as if the mountain itself were welcoming you home.
The main level living area features the master bedroom (1 KING BED)which includes an on-suite luxury bath w/ jacuzzi tub, separate tile shower and dual sinks with granite counter top. The second(1 QUEEN BED) and third bedroom(2 TWIN BEDS) are on the second level w/ one full, well appointed, bath.
The Lodge @ Aho Gap is a reflection of an age old craft that offers travelers a link to the past, while providing an inviting living environment with up to date amenities.

We stayed for a holiday -NYE getaway with our family of 4, including 2 young children. This lodge was everything portrayed in the descriptions and photos, and so much more. Very warm & cozy. A great location, close to wonderful restaurants and activities. Very well appointed, nice décor, newer construction. We felt very much at home, especially enjoyed the fireplace. Great communication with the owners. Will definitely be back!
This home was everything it was advertised to be, nicely appointed. All the comforts of home. Great location for tourists as it was convenient to several attractions, especially the Blue Ridge Parkway. Hope to visit again, really enjoyed our stay.
Centrally located between Boone and blowing rock, this fantastic hideaway provided our family with all the amenities and a vacation to remember. Nice décor, beds, baths and extras that helped make our week the best ever. Take your bike down the street and hop on the Blue Ridge Parkway or enjoy a hike with meadow views around the corner. The house is loud due to the vaulted ceilings, to keep in mind with tiny ones.
Owners very easy to work with.
Short drive to Boone or Blowing Rock. Excellent house, nice amenities. This was our 2nd time staying there. We enjoyed it as much this time, as the first. Hope to go back again - and get to stay longer next time!
We four adults had an excellent time at this cottage. It is up-to-date and inviting- easy to settle in and say you did the right thing. Sitting by the fire in the evening was a special time for all of us and just as enjoyable as the sightseeing we had done that day. It is easy to recommend this place to anyone who would like to spend a relaxing getaway in a beautiful spot in the mountains or, of course, to do some sightseeing which is close by.
