The Perfect First Get Away

It was the perfect first get away as a couple; a reprieve from the hustle and bustle of our high tech lives. The location was secluded and romantic, the scenery was breathtaking, and the nights were absolutely amazing. We woke up each morning to deer, wild turkey and squirrels as they canvas the property and stop to make sure you are watching from your private master bedroom porch. By day, we rode The Three Sisters and to Bandera via our iron horse along some of the most beautiful highways this country has to offer. The little extras were very nice, a welcome phone call to make sure we had found everything and were happy with the accommodations, a well stocked kitchen with the basic utensils and spices, even an ice cream maker with all the toppings. The hot tub welcomed us home each evening after cooking out on the grill and sharing our meal on the cedar picnic table that seats about 12 and is more than comfortable for 2. Although the town of Leakey is small the people were all very friendly and welcoming. We can't wait to come back for an extended stay.
