Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)

Fun, cozy 800 square foot cabin located on a private, dead-end road on the North East side of Otsego Lake, which is approximately 5 miles long and 1 mile wide. Our family cottage is very clean and includes all the amenities you'll need for an enjoyable time, including complimentary charcoal, lighter fluid, and coffee. The 50 foot dock can accomodate multiple watercraft.

Enjoy various water sports, fishing, roasting marshmallows in the portable fire pit, or just enjoying the beautiful sunsets on the 30 foot sandy beach. We have a nice shallow, gradual slope into the water which makes it ideal for children to play and swim. Water depth at the end of the dock is approximately 3 feet. There is plenty of outdoor seating including a new swing, table and chairs, and lawn chairs. Our cabin has two twin mattresses, a new queen mattress set and a new pull-out sofa for your comfort, all new flooring as of April 2011, and a new electric range. The cabin has a half-bath with separate shower. There also is an air conditioner unit in the main living room area to keep you cool on those hot, humid days.

Downtown Gaylord is just minutes away or take a day trip to Mackinac Island, Petoskey, Charlevoix, or Traverse City, each within an hours drive. Our cabin is very close to several golf courses, resorts, and trails. You’ll love the easy access from I-75 yet still be able to relax and enjoy the beautiful private sunsets in a quiet, peaceful setting.

About The Owner

My wife and I have been married for 13 years and live in Petoskey. I work in IT and my wife in Education. We have two kids who absolutely love visiting the cabin and playing in the water.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2010
Why The Owner chose Gaylord

We are fortunate to live in Northern Michigan and also enjoy our cottage with our family and friends. We have especially loved the beautiful sunsets on the east side of the lake. The location is so convenient from town and the expressway, yet offers a quiet and peaceful setting.

QUIET AND QUAINT..ON A BEAUTIFUL LAKE!

Just returned from a few relaxing days in a VERY CLEAN cottage,right on Otsego Lake..just minutes from downtown Gaylord. We had lunch at the Treetops golf club,and the food...and scenery,was outstanding! You can see for miles from the outside veranda,at the sports bar! We also ate at another golf club...Marsh Ridge,which is just 2 minutes south of the cottage,on Old 27. Jack's had excellent food,service,and wonderful views on the outside deck...overlooking the golf course! For breakfast..Diane's Delight's,downtown Gaylord,was VERY good! Needless to say,my wife and I had a GREAT time staying here....the sunsets across the lake were awesome! I highly recommend this cottage! R.B.

Very Enjoyable and Relaxing Vacation

I was very impressed with how clean and well equipped the cottage is kept. My grandsons and I expected to relax and fish for the week, and we were not disappointed. Ed and Val are very friendly hosts and have a wonderful cottage. They met us when we arrived giving us a short tour and some suggestions for to expect in Gaylord.

The wireless Internet was a huge bonus for us. As described, the shower accommodations are unique but workable.

We enjoyed our time at the cottage very much.

Great Little Getaway.

Our stay here was wonderful. The owner keeps the place really clean. My wife is a clean freak and was very impressed on how clean this cabin was. Everything we needed was supplied. The beach is just perfect. My son really had a blast playing in the sand and water. Very close to town and other activities. You wont be disappointed with this place.

Nice cabin on Lake Otsego

This cabin is adorable and right on the lake. The owners have provided everything you need. The water is clean and the kids had a great time fishing and swimming from the dock. It is also the perfect distance to take day trips. We went to Mackinac Island one day and the Sleeping Bear Dunes another. Grocery stores are 5 min. from the cabin. The only draw back is that there are train tracks right behind the cabin. Although it only came by two times during our week, one of the times was at 4:30 in the morning.
