This bright, furnished unit is located in a small apartment building a mile north of Green Lake. The address of the building is 8500 Linden Avenue North. Within a block there is direct bus service to the University of Washington and the Seattle city center. The apartment is on the ground floor and has its own private entrance.

The apartment is exceptionally clean and welcoming. It was completely remodeled in December 2010 so everything is fresh. There are new hardwood floors throughout the unit with area rugs. It is furnished with a convertable couch and a medium size dinner/work table with chairs. The table will seat four.

The bedroom has a queen bed with new mattress making for a good night's sleep. All linens are provided. Washer and dryer are available one floor up, which is accessible through an interior staircase.

The kitchen is set up for cooking. There is a full size stove, refrigerator and microwave. There are plenty of utensils to make cooking a pleasure.

Cable TV is provided along with high speed internet service with a wireless router.

Parking is easy. There is one off street reserved parking space adjacent to the building. You can also find plenty of street parking near the building for guests, generally right in front of the main entrance or a few feet away.

About The Owner

My wife and I are retired and live in the country with four dogs, two goats and a flock of chickens. We are active in animal rescue work and have always accepted pets in our rental units. Our border collie usually accompanies me when I go to the building. She's a stickler for detail and makes sure I get everything just right for the next guest.

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2002
Why The Owner chose Seattle

We chose our property because we love the neighborhood. Green Lake has always been a vibrant community with lots of interesting activities, especially for people who like to walk and bike. We have always enjoyed Woodland Park and the rose garden, which are a short bike ride or reasonable walk away. Dog lovers will appreciate the off leash area on the lower side of Woodland Park. Proximity to the university and downtown make it a convenient place to stay for tourists and professionals.

What makes this apartment unique

Why spend a week in a motel when you can have your own apartment? The apartment has a full kitchen and all the amenities of home. There are several closets, so it is easy to unpack and get organized for your next adventure. This charming one bedroom unit provides the perfect base camp for exploring the city or relaxing after a long day at work. Close to major bus lines, you don't need a car to get around town.

As a student returning from my trip to a summer class, it only recently came to my attention that my fiance and I had not commented on our most wonderful stay near Green Lake in June 2012. The owners were attentive to our needs, including delivering extra pots upon request. They returned numerous calls promptly answering all our questions, never once making us feel like we were a bother. The bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. They are near some great restaurants and a wonderful natural grocery store. Would not hesitate to stay with them again or recommend friends and family.

Overall, this worked very well for my 4 week stay. Bed is great! The only negative was the odor present in the living room (the plug in freshener I bought couldn't quite mask it). Maybe moisture since one wall is daylight basement level?? It remained the entire time I was there and I could smell it on my clothes when I returned home. Since no other reviewers mentioned it, I'm hoping it was an aberration, since otherwise I would gladly stay there again. Owners were great to work with and apartment was as described.

This apt worked out very well for our visit to Seattle. We've rented 5 VRBO units...this was the easiest to do....worked as advertised. I recommend [but not too much...we might have the need to rent it again!]
