Next door to my cottage of 30 years.
This is one (maybe only) place in Michigan where you can watch the sunrise over Lake Huron and the sunset in Lake Huron. The crystal clear water enables swimmers to see a ship wreck in 15 ft. of water. The shallow water makes it kid friendly.
We had an amazing time at the North Bay Getaway. Cannot say enough about how clean and comfortable the home is. My sister and brother-in-law and my husband and I spend a week together in September (usually in the U.P.) We have always used VRBO to find a place to rent and North Bay has to be one of the best. The owner is one of the nicest people we have met on our travels. So accommodating and welcoming and full of good information about the area. We intend to return in 2015 (something we have never done before - we always move on to another area of Michigan. We just felt that there was so much more to see and do, so we will be returning.
What a perfect place to vacation!! The cabin is very nice, very clean and the beds are very comfortable! The view from the front porch is amazing, we wanted someplace right on the water and this is certainly that, but for all of us the thing that made our week was watching the Bald Eagle and the immature Bald Eagles fly over our heads!! Breathtaking!! There is nothing you could want that wasn't provided for us. We've rented vacation houses for many years and I have to say this is the best! Steve was so helpful making sure everything was taken care of-----even as he was leaving for a 50th Anniversary trip-------still making sure there was nothing left to chance.
Great place, quite, beautiful, unbelievable sunsets from the deck, you can't ask for anything more this this house. Book it and Enjoy!! We did :-)
Outstanding Vacation! We were met when we arrived and all questions were answered pertaining to our stay. The owners were outstanding! We had a problem with Hummingbirds the second night getting into the bungalow and they came right away to get them out of the bungalow. The view from the porch was outstanding. We enjoyed the fireplace at night with a glass of wine. We will definitely go to North Bay again.
The house is amazingly clean and well maintained. The view of the lake and the sunsets are amazing! The owners are the nicest people I have ever rented from.
This was a great vacation and we plan to return!
The North Bay Getaway was perfect! Plenty of room for a family of 5 with additional overnight guests. It is very quiet, you are guarenteed to relax and enjoy the sunsets. If you are looking for fun, you can bike to both lighthouses or the marina. This cottage comes highly recommended and the owners have gone above & beyond to make this trip as enjoyable for you as possible.
This is an excellent, well-cared for property, with a beautiful view and very gracious hosts in Steve and Ann. Steve even gave us delicious, fresh caught lake trout. It is plenty spacious to accommodate extended family get-togethers and is pet friendly.
Two light houses within walking distance, One is working the other a museum.
