Barefoot Bay is one of the older planned resort communities in central-east Florida. The community is self-sufficient in meeting all the needs of its residents including shopping, recreation, planned community events, and infrastructure. The community is planned so many of the recreation activities can be enjoyed via walking, bicycle, or motorized golf cart or motor bike. There are three community swimming pools, with the largest located at the community center. This facility has a fantastic full service lounge for sitting by the pool and adjacent lake while enjoying your favorite tropical drink and foods. The community center sponsors weekly events including theme dances, talent presentations, lectures, and game nights. There is an executive golf course, tennis, handball, bocci, basketball, and shuffleboard courts with in easy walking distance of all residents. Grocery, banking, dining, and electronic gaming are available in the community. Once you arrive you can bicycle your way to any activity in the community!
Barefoot Bay is located about three miles from Sebastian, and 15 minutes from Melbourne and is located on Route 1 which parallels the Inland Coastal Waterway and Indian River. It is approximately 75 minutes east of Orlando, and Disney attractions. The Space Center, Cocoa Beach, and Vero Beach are a short drive for site seeing. Ocean fishing and boat rentals are available adjacent to Barefoot Bay on Route 1 and provide easy access to the Indian River and the ocean. Barefoot Bay has its own 775 foot fishing pier if you want to try your luck in the Indian River without getting your feet wet!

About The Owner
This is a home to Bill and his wife and son who enjoy it several times a year. While there, renovation projects often prevail. Bill, being a landscape architect, has an 'eye' for comfort and atmosphere. Having lived in the Marshall Islands, a true love of the 'beach life' prevails in the home.
The Owner purchased this house in 2006
Why The Owner chose Sebastian
This resident was purchased because of its unique environment; this is an 'old Florida' planned resort community. The house itself sits refreshed on a beautiful lot.
What makes this house unique
We enjoy a short drive to our private Barefoot Bay ocean beach park and spending an afternoon or just lazily walking to Indian River. We also love to sit by the pool and enjoy a snack. Many entertainment opportunities are through the community center where they sponsor dances and lectures. There is always something new to go to!
