Beautiful home, just like the pictures!
This contemporary home offered very high end furnishings and decor. The pictures online were very accurate of it's clean style and open concept. The home does not feel like a rental at all, as many of the owner's personal belongings were throughout (this did not bother us a bit). The unique details and design of the home were a lot of fun (remote controlled shades, sliding partition walls). The outdoor space in back is private, with a nice hot tub. The front deck has ample seating and gorgeous views of the ocean and other beautiful homes. The neighborhood is very nice and the nearest beach access is less than 1 mile away. Several coffee shops, restaurants and shops are within a block or two away. We would definitely stay in this home again when traveling to La Jolla.
The communication with the agent/owner could have been better. Although friendly and helpful, emails went several days without being answered and did not seem a priority. The deposit took almost 3 weeks to be returned, when we were told it would be returned within a week to 10 days. This would not deter us from staying in the home again as we feel it was a good value and suited 6 adults nicely.
La Jolla is a wonderful town and this is a beautiful property!!

Owner's Response: I'm not sure what was meant by emails not getting returned in a timely matter as this was never brought up before. Our realtor represents a lot of other vacation homes in La Jolla. We have seen the reviews from other tenants who state that he was very quick to respond to questions and or concerns. As per the rental agreement, it states that deposits will be returned within 3 weeks. However, we do our best to return them sooner. We were out of town for a while and that was the reason for the delay.
