The HideAway is a charming studio cottage tucked behind Peachtree House (HomeAway #338249). The location could not be more ideal. The property is in the beloved Zilker/Barton Hills neighborhood just south of Downtown Austin. It's walking distance to BartonSprings/Zilker Park/Hike and Bike Trail and all the restaurants along Barton Springs Rd.

Enter the cottage through it's own private courtyard which features a fire pit. and small grill . The HideAway has 1 large room, a bathroom and newly constructed kitchen. The main room features a luxuriously comfy Queen bed, an entertainment center with a 32' Flatscreen TV (purchased new in January 2010) ,a DVD player, a sitting area with a couch, a chaise lounge and a dining area. There's laundry and Free Wifi.

The home is pet friendly. The courtyard is completely fenced and there are several parks for walking dogs.

The HideAway is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway to explore Austin or just stay in and relax together.

The guest house had all the amenities needed for our stay. It was super comfortable and a perfect size for 4 people. Georjean was a pleasure to work with and made herself available for us if we needed her. The location is great with lots of good restaurants, bars, grocery within a mile. This area is so beautiful, that walking to your destination is a pleasure. We will definitely reserve the guesthouse for our next stay in Austin.

Perfect place for visiting Austin

The hideaway was a perfect spot for my wife and I during our stay in Austin. It has a great location close to Lamar Blvd and central Austin, but lies in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was great so we didn't have to eat out for every meal (the Whole Foods world HQ with its huge grocery store is a short drive away north along Lamar) and the space as a whole was very cozy. It was really just a great place to get away.

Georjean did a good job of taking care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. The hideaway has lots of nice little touches that make it feel like home. She really cares about her guests.

My wife and I would definitely consider staying here again next time we are in Austin.

Perfect! Great Location! Quiet Area! WOW Owner!

Had to locate lodging for wedding in the local area and Georjean made it happen! The cottage is very cozy and accommodating and believe it or not, it has everything you could possibly need. It really feels like your visiting family and they've done their best to ensure your comfort, well Georjean has and you do feel very "at home".
I highly recommend "The HideAway", great location! about 30 seconds to Taco Express and few minutes your pretty much anywhere you need to be, the Mall or Zilker Park area. Quiet neighborhood area, just a really nice setup by Georjean!
