Located in the heart of the Chataqua section of Mount Gretna at the end of a cul-de-sac sits this fully furnished cottage built in 1895. Sitting on the porch will leave you feeling like you’re sitting in a tree house, with a beautiful view of the trees and the rooftops of the surrounding cottages. Step out onto the porch on a summers eve and enjoy the music from the theater which is only a few blocks away!
Inside, sunlight dances through the leaves and makes it's way through the many windows and sky lights. Curl up with a book or relax while watching television. For those who like to cook, the kitchen is fully furnished with a nice eat in kitchen. There are three bedrooms, two of which have queen beds while the other has a set of twin beds. The family room includes a twin pull out chair. The cottage is decorated simply and tastefully meant to encourage a tranquil and relaxing environment.
Mount Gretna is a great place to just sit and relax or take part in the local activities. Miniature golf, playground, ice cream at the Jigger Shop, and shows at the playhouse are all within walking distance. Hiking, roller skating, and the lake are just on the other side of town.

This cottage was very nice, very clean, had a well-stocked kitchen to cook meals! It was in a very quiet part of town and we spent a lot of time chatting on the large porch.
Keep in mind- There are many stairs to access the door of the cottage. Also- to access the 1/2 bath you need to exit the cottage, with the key, via the stairs and go into a room under the cottage.
We would stay again. Mt Gretna is like a step back in time. We could walk to breakfast at Le Sorelle and walk to dinner at The Hideaway. We had a nice, relaxing couple of days.
We enjoyed the comforts of home and the peacefulness of Mt. Gretna. The home is well equipped and we truly enjoyed our stay. Hope to be back again!
Our family of 4 enjoyed this delightful home for a week. What a great surprise when we arrived. The pictures do not do it justice. It is a wonderful setting and a great location to see all the Amish areas as well as Hershey Park and Longwood Gardens. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We would not hesitate to go back.
Great little cottage and great location. Love the whole "feel" of Mt. Gretna. There is a pretty steep flight of stairs outside the house and also inside so if stairs bother you, this is not the house for you. House is very quaint and was very confortable including the bed. Nice that you can park outside of home (some areas in Mt. Gretna you must park and walk to home). Has sloped ceilings upstairs so was a little harder to shower since I am 6'. Great front porch to sit on and enjoy the cool evenings. Homeowner very easy to deal with and communicate with.
My husband, son, and I spent several nights at this Mt. Gretna home recently. We had a pleasant stay. The house is very charming and quaint, had a lot of character. We loved the porch. A great location for exploring some local attractions. We took our son to Hershey Park, but were pleased to be able to avoid crowded hotels, traffic, and overly-commercialized area immediately surrounding the park. We even went further afield to do some sightseeing in the Brandywine Valley, and it only took a little over an hour to drive there from this location.
On the whole, our stay in this home was a nice experience, and we can recommend it to others.
This is such a charming cottage and our stay was made so much more wonderful by the unexpected Christmas tree in the living room and garland on the staircase banister. The dining area looks out on a woodland paradise. Off-season in Mt. Gretna is very quiet, relaxed and restful, but there are plenty to places to go and things to do in the surrounding area if you want to venture out: Cornwall Furnace, Hershey, Troegs Brewing, the Wolf Sanctuary of PA, a casual stroll around town. My husband and I loved the house and look forward to staying here again when we want to go back to Mt. Gretna to refresh our spirits.
