This house is situated on a 4 mile sandy beach 90 freeway miles below the US border. Walled and gated property. Friendly community.

The kitchen has all the amenities.The family room, and kitchen overlook the ocean surf at the Todos Santos Island and Bufadora (Mexico,s Old Faithful Geyser).

There is Satellite TV and High Speed wireless Internet with a DVD player and a collection of DVDs and games for the kids. No telephone. There are surfboards, boogie boards and a tent for the kids if they want to sleep outside under the stars.

There is a large outdoor entertainment area that contains adry waterfall, Mexican fire pit, outdoor table and chairs, a Bougainvillea covered gazebo and a BBQ .In the front is a tiled patio area where you can look at thesurf and watch the Seagulls, Dolphins,and Pelicans.

Whether you want a family getaway or a romantic tranquil setting, this house will meet your expectations.

Homeaway House : Notice that in the photos the picture shows 2 houses. The front one, closest to the beach is the one in Homeaway. The back one, that is 2 stories is our personal one which we use infrequently.

In the back yard there is a waterfall, that spills into two pools. At present it is turned off, but is still nice to look at as you sit in the Bougainvillea covered gazebo.

Privacy: This house has a lot of privacy. It is one of the few houses that is surrounded by a wall. Entrance is restricted by a locked front gate. There is a locked double gate to the car park that has to be opened from the inside. There is room for 3 cars. There is a gravelled lane that runs down the side of the house to the entrance to the above gates.

There is a Mexican guard house at the begining of the road . The guard patrols intermittenly, on foot and by bicycle.

There are 2 restrictions.

1 No toilet paper in the toilet. There is a recepticle beside each toilet for paper waste. All the houses on the spit have septic tanks and paper clogs the toilets,

2. Noise qurfew after 1030.p.m. in consideration of local residents.

Location: This house is in a rural costal area in Northern Baja. No train or air access. Transportation is by car via a good four lane freeway. Fishing is good and you can rent a boat at 'Pango Boats' for a 1/2-1 day trip. (Cod, Snapper, Bass). A fun afternoon is to go to Bufadora, Mexico's blow hole, where there are many vendors selling all the way from trinkets to good Mexica leather goods. Our favorite restaurant there is 'Habana Banana'. The largest town is Ensenada, an exciting area where the ocean liners put in twice a week. There are great restaurants and shopping. There are American stores,(Wal-Mart, Home Depot and Costco). North of Ensenaday you can explore 7 different wineries. If you are looking for a nearly deserted beach just for yourself, this is it. The beach is wide, sandy, shallow and safe for kids.It is great for all water activities. There are horses to rent or take a ride on an ultra-lite plane. There is golf at the Baja Beach and Country Club about 45 minutes away.

Beautiful and cozy place

We stayed at Garth's beautiful house during Christmas and loved it here. The views from the house are just amazing.

We had a blast playing on the quiet beach, para gliding with Zenon and zip-lining in Las Canadas (lascanadas.com). Also, La Bufadora is really close from this place and the market there is really nice.

Garth made sure our stay is as comfortable as possible. Thanks a lot for sharing your home.We will definitely come back again!

We really enjoyed our stay in this property. Beautiful house with all the amenities of home. The kids really enjoyed the boogie boards and surfboards. The home is on a beautiful calm beach, almost felt like we had our own private beach. Definitely recommend this property and will definitely be going back.

Wonderful family vacation rental!!

We really enjoyed our Holiday weekend stay at this great home! The photos do give an accurate description of the different rooms, but what you can't see is how spacious, and comfortable this home really is! The patio area is very inviting, and kind of an oasis, with a waterfall, flowers, foliage, and privacy. You feel secure and safe, with a perimeter gate, and a car port in which to park your car. The ocean view is absolutely perfect, with vast visibility, allowing the kids to wander back and forth from the beach to the house. We have been visiting this beach for the last 8 years or so, and can only say that it is an undiscovered treasure, so accessible and affordable for families who really just want to get away and relax and spend time together. The owners were definitely wonderful to rent from, and were accessible at all times for any questions, etc. We definitely will be looking to stay here again!

This place was one of the best places we have rented. Great Location Great Hosts some of the friendliest people we have met. The place had everything we wanted. It was in a great location, secured, friendly,safe for kids, I will continue to come here everytime we come to ensenada! You don't even have to look anywhere else.

It could not have been any better

It was the perfect place, with great hosts. We got in late and the owner was waiting for us by the access road to guide us to the property. The place has everything you could need/want and the location and privacy are great. We will definitively look forward to return to this place whenever we go back to the area, no need to look anywhere else.
