About David & Evelyn Grainger

Evelyn and I (with our 3 kids) live full time in Lexington, MA. We decided to purchase a vacation home in Chatham, MA because of the short access from Boston. Chatham has all the charm and beauty as Nantucket Island has which is where we married. It just so happens Chatham is so much easier to get to than Nantucket! The location, quality, workmanship and open space of our property convinced us that this was the best value in Chatham. We hope you enjoy your stay!

Choosing this property and location was important because of the access to the town center, Chatham A's semi-pro baseball, access to the beach and fine restaurants. Of course the house itself is the 'main' attraction which consists of high quality building materials and a open floor plan. It is perfect for a long weekend or those weeks when you have the whole extended family coming down for the week!

What makes this house unique

The wrap around porch provides 'lots' of areas for the kids to eat or just relax with puzzles and games. The kids really like the walk-out bonus room downstairs when they want to watch a movie or just get away from the parents! The property location really is unique based on the beauty, quality and openness it offers. Many folks have commented on it as a 'Beach House'. And the location, so close to town and the beach, have made this a fantastic rental property.

Incredible Stay!!!!!

First my family and I love Chatham and what could be better than getting down for the week & having amazing weather!

The property was fantastic - open space and all the amenitities. What a beautiful location on the edge of downtown and steps to Oyster Beach Inlet.

We had a great time cooking in the large kitchen area and then spending time walking down town some nights to eat or just browse thru the shops.

Can't wait to get back next year!

We loved our week in the cape. Weather was fabulous. The house was very nice and easy walk to oyster pond. Great proximity to market. It's on a busy street though and one neighbor had a bird and a dog that woke us up at 6:00 a.m. each morning.
Recommended for:  Families with Teenagers

I would like to recommend to guests if they ever run across a situation in which there are renters in the neighborhood that cause a disturbance (dogs, exotic pets:0) - although that's a first) to please inform us immediately "during" your stay as we can take immediate action. Our neighborhood property owners are great and they would very much want to know if their vacation renters are causing a disturbance.

Great Home/Great Location

My family and a few couples recently stayed in this home for a week in July and we couldn't have had a better experience. This house is in excellent shape, and the layout is perfect for adults and/or kids - lots of open common space, clean, up to date appliances, plenty of room. The location is even better - walking distance to the market and the downtown area and a great beach (especially for little kids) - all together it's an excellent home to spend time in within a great Cape town.

Fantastic, clean, comfortable house in a great Chatham location. Our group of three kids and five adults had a wonderful time staying here. Nice kitchen and dining area for meals in. Great outdoor space for meals, games and relaxing. Comfortable bedrooms. Short walk to town. Would stay again if returning to Chatham.
