We live in John Creek Georgia, a suburb of North Atlanta. We love St George Island and Apalachicola-It is not like Destin, but we find so many fun things to do-usually a week is not enough for us! But we have to plan early because OUR Wonderful Guests always beat us to the punch! We enjoy our guests, they become our friends and many of you stay in touch. Give us a try, we hope you fall in love with the Forgotten Coast, the people, and the beautiful surroundings.

Growing up on the Georgia coast, a beach town was not a place with resorts and high rise condos. It was a place where you could hop on your bike and not worry about traffic. We spent many years exploring coastal towns from Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and even California. Our current home is in the Metro Atlanta area, we were looking for a quiet place to get away. The late Celestine Sibley, a long time Writer for the Atlanta Journal Constitution, on occasion would write of her Travels to her 2nd Home on Dog Island, in the Gulf of Mexico. Her writings intrigued us and that is how we found The Forgotten Coast. Finally a place to getaway, to leave your worries behind, and at one time, a place where our cell phones could not get a signal. How great was that!

Beautiful, Quiet Beaches. Nature abounds. Get out and take day trips to surrounding areas and small towns. Fish, cook fresh seafood, take a walk or a bike ride on the islands paved bike path. Climb the Cape St George Lighthouse and others in the surrounding area. Visit the Park on the far east end of the island for seashells, fishing, or a picnic. Best restaurants are in Apalachicola. But a trip to the Indian Pass Raw Bar MUST be scheduled in-

Our 4th or 5th time staying at Little Palm!

We had a wonderful time here at Little Palm. This was our 4th or 5th time staying in the house. And we were excited to see the many upgrades and new decor. We are always sad to leave St George and always look forward to returning both to the island and to Little Palm. Lots of great memories have been made here for our family and we look forward to many more wonderful times and can't wait to see what else you guys have planned for the house!

Once again, we had a great time on SGI

Once again, we had a great time on SGI. It's our 2nd time and we brought our sister and nephew. The weather was perfect! The pool water was great and beach beautiful. We had a great time at Eddy Teach's for lunch most days. We listened to Karaoke and bands at Harry A's in the evenings. We loved dining at the Blue Parrot on the porch with the beautiful ocean as our view.
Your cottage with beautiful landscaping is wonderful.

We've stayed on SGI many times over the years and this is absolutely our FAVORITE HOUSE! Our grandson from Amsterdam & our dog, Tipsy Loved it too. We sure will look forward to coming back again next year-Thank You so much for sharing your beautiful and comfortable home.

The View was Great

To the owners of Little Palm,
Our family enjoyed our stay at your beautiful beach house. The house is beautifully decorated and so well equipped. We also enjoyed the well kept pool. We have visited St George several times and stayed in several different homes and this by far was the best. It is so nice to be able to walk across the vacant lot to the beach and the view was great. Hopefully that lot will remain vacant. If and when we come back to St George again I hope your home will be available to rent. Thank You, Virginia

No high rise multifamily buildings to block your views, No traffic jams. Truly a place to get away from it all. Various festivals throughout the year, St. George Island and Apalachicola have year round interests. The National Trust for Historic Preservation named Apalachicola as a Distinctive Destination. Beautiful Historic Homes and a true working waterfront are the reasons for this designation. Great Restaurants, Interesting Gift Shops and Art Galleries will keep you busy. Activities for all ages-Camps, Eco Tours, Kayaking, Deep or Bay Fishing, or just read a good book. Lots of small towns for day trips or visit any of the nearby State or National Parks.
