The Silver Palms Cottage is tucked away at the water's edge in a small cove on the south coast of Providenciales, overlooking the tranquil turquoise waters of Long Bay Beach. This charming little cottage offers self-catering accommodation for a maximum of 6 people in three cozy bedrooms. It is the ideal spot for a romantic get-away, or a fun family vacation. Silver Palms Cottage is the perfect alternative to the traditional hotel and resort experience. Our comfortable little cottage can be your private beach home for a weekend, a week or a month.
The cottage, decorated in a causal but homely style, includes a comfy living room complete with cable TV, DVD player and iPod dock, a fully equipped kitchen, and bedrooms with a comfortable queen-size, double and twin beds. The spacious deck, with panoramic views of the bay is furnished for alfresco dining.
Step off the deck on to miles of wide, natural, virtually uninhabited beach that invites you for leisurely walks, shelling and sun-bathing. You might see an occasional beachcomber or a couple of day-trippers, but most of the time you’ll have the sands to yourselves.
Quiet and secluded, yet accessible to everything. We are just a few minutes from many fine restaurants, shops, galleries, supermarkets and banks . Golfing and boating/ sailing facilities are also in close proximity.
For the adventurous, many exhilarating excursions and unique adventures are available through local tour operators. Some of the island's best water activities can be found right here. Long Bay beach is the premier beach on island for kite boarding. Kite-boarding takes place just a few kilometers away. The mangroves that flank the eastern coastline of the property offers the prefect opportunity of kayaking and fishing. Inflatable Kayaks and Canoe are provided at the cottage for the use of our guest. Explore the nearby coastal mangroves with these lightweight, easy to use inflatable kayaks and canoes.
If you are in search of peace and harmony, just enjoy the serenity of your own private cottage. Relax on the deck and soak up the warm sunshine or toast marshmallows while sitting at your private fire ring and watching the magnificent sunsets. Alternatively, you can visit one of the many spas on island.
There are only a few private, non-condo, beach homes available on Long Bay Beach, Providenciales that are directly on the sand and this is one of them. The property is located right on the beach. You step off the deck right on to the beach.
Alternatively, spend the day wadding in our newly constructed 27ft swimming pool. A refreshing dip goes a long way after a hot day of site seeing. A great Spot for reading a good book, an evening cocktail and meeting new friends. The pool area is a favorite gathering spot for guests. So come and make Silver Palms Cottage your home away from home.
Note: We have an adjacent beachfront 2 bedroom + loft cottage on property, which is an exact replica. We can also offer you a HOUSE + CAR package, as part of the rental.

Silver Palms Cottage is owned by Wesley & Tatum Clerveaux, a young couple with a passion for nature. Both Wesley and Tatum are marine ecologists, employed with the local Government.
The couple lives on Island, in the downtown area (10 mins away) with their two young kids.
Both are happy to share their knowledge of some of the more exciting places to visit and available opportunities on island.
Tatum or Wesley Clerveaux purchased this cottage in 2006
Silver Palms Cottage was constructed in 2006, by Wesley with the help of his dad, as a father and son labour of love project.
Originally from the neighbouring island of South Caicos, Wesley, built this cozy cottage as his personal Provo escape. A place where he could come and relax and experience nature at its best. A home away from home.
The location offers absolute peace and tranquility. For us, the experience of waking up early to a morning where tranquility is only broken by the sounds of birds chirping, gentle waves lapping against the shore and the occasional fishing boat chugging across the bay, is priceless.
Enjoying a cup of coffee on the deck while watching the tide come in or go out is also magically mind soothing.
The seclusion of the property also allows our kids to explore with little supervision. And as night falls, a barbecue on the beach or roasting marshmallows at the fire ring is always a big hit with the kids.
A dreamlike vacation and this review is long overdue!! My husband and I, along with our 2 and 4 year old traveled to the Turks for a well needed vacation. We stayed for a month at Silver Palms and during the month both our moms came to visit for long weekends. Upon landing we were greeted by both Wesley and Tatum and escorted to our Villa. When we got to the house, we were in awe with how private and beautiful the property was. We actually stayed in both villas during our month long stay. They were cozy, smartly furnished with all the comforts of home, and wonderfully located directly on the beach. Miles and miles of white sandy beach just in front of the cottage, no one disturbing you, kayaks and beach chairs at your disposal under the trees and warm crystal clear water. The swimming in our bay was lovely, and shallow for quite a way, so great for children!! We spent every morning sipping coffee on the porch gazing at the beautiful ocean and most evenings enjoying smores and or a small fire at the fire pit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Silver Palms, finding it the perfect balance of privacy, yet we were close enough to explore other areas of the island within short driving distance. (We had the car package) I cannot put into words a description that adequately explains what it feels like to be sitting in the pool, looking out at the ocean, watching the kite boarders, hoping for a glimpse of a dolphin passing by. The villas are set up in a way that multiple people can be on the property, and have a great social time but still have privacy if so desired. Having spent quite a while in their cottage, we had time to meet their whole family. Their children were wonderful and our children had a great time playing with them. Staff, top notch, our cottage was thoroughly cleaned once a week by the most wonderful cleaning staff and our beach was cleaned daily and fire pit restocked every morning. My husband was interested in possible business opportunities on the island and Wesley’s brother spent countless hours sharing information and showing him around. Excellent service provided by very engaging, professional owners – Wesley and Tatum Clerveaux!!
I could go on and on…. but without a doubt I would highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking for a stay in a little piece of paradise!
Great cottage, steps from the beach. We stayed a week and my kids loved the pool, beach and fire pit. Try the kite-surfing. This is one of the best locations the world for it and you can literally walk down the beach for lessons.
We recently spent time at the Silver Palms in March 2015, and we were more than disappointed with the entire experience. The photos are definitely not a true reflection of what this place looks like. When we arrived, we giving a roll and a half of toilet paper and there was no hand soap left in the bottle...this is how it began. There was supposed to be maid service once a week; she apparently showed up but we were napping so she left and never returned again. We didn't even hear her knock or anything. We let owners know, but never resulted in anyone coming out to clean. The shower was clogged and never drained while in it. We had a clogged sink for 4 days before they returned calls to help fix it. There was apparently supposed to be a cell phone to use for local calls etc but when we tried, it said insufficient funds so we couldn't use it the whole trip. The beach is not useable without water shoes because of the rocks etc and you would have to go out approximately 3-400 feet before the water is able to be up to your waste. The actual cottage is run down and very outdated; don't be fooled by the photos. The way to the loft is through a pull down later that is far from safe. Very old and extremely difficult to pull down from the ceiling and once down, you don't feel secure using it. Although it is in the "rental agreement", it would have been nice to be reminded that you would be charged for electricity use of it is over the allotted amount. There had to be purchases for everything from dish soap to laundry detergent to soap for the bathroom to toilet paper, just not set up well at all. Extremely over priced. You can rent a much nicer and fully equipped place right on Grace Bay for a lot less. We have been visiting the Turks for 5 years and this is not a place I would go to again Would never return and would never recommend it to anyone.
The cottage was so lovely and homey!!! We really had everything we needed onsite....a gorgeous/PRIVATE beach, a clean/refreshing pool, floats for the pool and ocean, a grill, a screened patio, towels for the beach, Wifi, telephone, a cooler (in case you want to venture to another beach), kayaks, a fire pit, A/c when needed on those really hot nights (there is usually a nice breeze) and many other things!!! Tatum and Wesley were great to work with and very accommodating. It was wonderful, and unexpected, to have Ben onsite to assist us with anything we needed, like the fire and where to refill the water jugs.
This is a perfect cottage for families, a group of travelers and older couples. It would not be the place for people in their 20's looking to walk to bars and party it up because you do need to drive if you want to go out to the restaurants and bars, but it is very close (5 minutes). In comparison, Provo is really not a huge party island so if that is what you are looking for you may want to check out Jamaica or Cancun. It is also important to know the water is shallow; it is perfect for floating, paddle boarding and just relaxing, not the place if you want huge waves. However, you do get to sit in the awesome ocean chairs and watch the kiteboarders in the Bay everyday - we counted an average of 23 per day - it was a blast to watch!
A few suggestions for new guests:
-Pack a non-perishable food items suitcase (food is VERY expensive on the island even though the cottage has a full kitchen)
-Pickup a map of the island at the airport if you have a car (there was not one in the car)
-Be sure to get the Wifi code from Tatum (we didn't have it when we arrived)
-Eat out at Coco Bistro at least one night! Check out Grace Bay Beach - huge waves and simply stunning!!
-Find out /where to refill the water (it is right down the road)
-The upstairs rooms are accessed by a pull-down ladder so you must be able to walk up and down a ladder easily.
-Renting the van from Tatum and Wesley is a PLUS!
Lastly, -I wish I had known this- if you are an animal lover (like me) you can contact the potcake place k-9 rescue at saltmills plaza about taking a dog for the day or being a carrier for a dog back to your hometown to deliver them to their adopter. This is a wonderful thing you can do to help these dogs and this fabulous shelter on the island.
I would definitely go back and recommend this cottage to friends!!!!
Just returned from a 7-day vacation to Turks & Caicos, staying at Silver Palms Cottage on Long Bay Beach. What a beautiful cottage located directly on a secluded beach! All the comforts of home were at our disposal, including the option of a car rental. The amazing extras of the cottage included an in-ground swimming pool, a large screened porch, a peaceful cabana, an fabulous fire pit that was stocked daily with firewood, and kayaks. What more could you ask for? We felt like we were in a tropical paradise. Access to nearby grocery stores, restaurants and shops were only a hop, skip and a jump away. Tatum and Wesley went above and beyond to make our vacation one of the best we've had. Thank you both for making your home available so others can enjoy true paradise!!!
The house was exactly as we expected with no surprises. Nothing fancy, but right on the beach, though not much of a view from inside the home. The location is good for seeing most of the island, near Grace Bay and other points of interest. The pool and water sports equipment were also nice.
My only cautions relate to the beach and potential noise issues. The beach was seaweedy and although the caretaker made an attempt to clear it, it never looked like the pictures during our stay. Also, the beach has a combination of rocks/shells embedded in the sand that makes it difficult for children to run around without hurting their feet. You really do have the beach to yourself (other than the guests at the adjoining home), but don't expect it to be as nice as Grace Bay. We discovered nearby Pelican Beach (a short drive away) and spent a lot of time there instead.
We did not have any noise issues from the other Silver Palms cottage next door, but it is very close and I would imagine that could be an issue for those seeking peace and quiet depending on the other guests. We did experience loud music from the house under construction next door several times. Although it was not often and didn't last for more than an hour or two at a time, worrying about when or if the noise would return did add a little stress.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and thought the home offered decent value.
This review is long overdue! From the minute we arrived to the moment we left Wesley and Tatum were readily available to answer any questions. Amazing hosts! We rented a car from them which worked out perfectly. A gentleman met us at the airport with our car and we followed him to the cottage. This cottage is located at the end of a quiet road. So private! Whether you are sitting on the beach, in the screened in porch,or lying on the covered bed on the beach, the views are spectacular! We also loved the kayaks that were included. Len was awesome! He kept the beach and yard area clean and helped with anything we needed. The pool was very refreshing! (added bonus) We would highly recommend staying at this cottage. We hope to come back again soon!
Provo is the perfect setting for some fun in the sun or an island getaway with family and friends. The beaches here are pristine and beautiful. The water is crystal clear and very clean. Boating, kayaking, snorkeling and scuba are perfect daytime activities; the surf isn't rough and the winds are excellent for sailing, wind surfing and kiteboarding which you can launch directly from the beach in front of the cottage.-----
Delicious dinners are served up at numerous restaurants, most of which are in the Grace Bay area, which is only 5 -10mins away from the cottage. Or if you prefer, we can arrange for a private chef to prepare some local delicious dishes right at the cottage, while you relax and sip on some wine.-----
To top off your evening there is almost always something happening, from live music, through to Karaoke, Caribbean-Style Jams, the Glow Worm Rum Punch Cruise, full-moon party, or games of chance at the Casablanca Casino. It may not be the city that never sleeps but I am sure you will find lots to do after the sun goes down.-----
Or you can relax at the cottage in front of a blazing bonfire / fire-pit drinking cold beers and exchanging fun memories with your friends.----
