GORGEOUS RETREAT IN THE HEART OF ROME

My husband and I spent three lovely weeks in Francesca's very comfortable flat in Via del Gov Vecchio, a perfect location for visitors to Rome, with shops, restaurants, and sight-seeing in abundance. We shopped in the nearby full-service supermarket (neatly hidden away in an hIstoric building) as well as the wonderful specialty markets in Campo di Fiori -- 7 minutes walk. (The BEST gelato in Rome is also only a few steps away.). We found using Rome buses -- just around the corner on Vittore Emmanuele-- to be a great way to see the city, as well as to get from place to place. We particularly appreciated the efficient and thoughtful attention we received from Francesca, and from Luca, her local agent who facilitated our being met at Fiumicino and driven to the apartment, and other requests, and from Agnese, his assistant, who was very accommodating and knowledgeable.

This flat is perfection with complete kitchen, breakfast bar, dinning room, two living areas, one with TV and DVD. There is a comfortable private bedroom and a real rarity in these rentals, plenty of closet and storage space. Many windows, vaulted ceilings, wood floors, exposed beamed ceilings, a fantastic ultra modern bathroom which makes the perfect blend of modern chic decor, comfort and efficiency!

Set a few blocks off Piazza Navona on the quintessential Roman street, bustling with boutiques, restaurants and superb people watching, yet, the flat is to the back of the building and once you are in the door - Peace and Quiet. The location is so central that we walked everywhere from the Vatican, Coliseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Borghese Palace, Travestere and the fabulous shopping on and off Via del Corso.

The Owner is fantastic and you will be met at the apartment by Agnese, who is charming, helpful, knowledgeable and gave us a map that was better than anything we had purchased from book stores.

If you truly want to explore this fabulous city and experience Roman living, Do Not Miss this flat! After a week there, we are already planning a longer stay in the near future.

I do not have enough room to praise this rental and I am not prove to praise. If you truly want to explore this fabulous city and expedience living as a Roman lives – Do Not Miss this flat. After a week there, we are already planning a longer than a week stay in the near future.

Just returned from Rome and loved our stay in this apartment. The location was amazing. We travelled with our 2 children under 10 years old. We had lots of room in the apartment and felt completely safe at this location. It was clean. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go - and felt like we were actual residence in the City. Grocery store close by. Owner and Manager were very helpful. Would recommend this appartment and would stay here again. Look no further for a great appartment!
