Our rustic cottage is the perfect place for relaxing in the serene beauty of Lake Wylie. While driving through the designated wildlife protection area to our home, you might see deer, osprey, turkey, and other wildlife. Our private community has a claim to fame- scenes from the movie “Days of Thunder”, starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, were filmed here! We have a copy of the movie at the house for you to enjoy. See if you can recognize the scenery!
As soon as you enter the house you’ll immediately see why this property is the ultimate lakefront living experience; you’ll be able to see the gorgeous view through the window stretching across the back wall of the living room. After you’ve taken in the view you’ll notice the stunning wood crafted interior of our home. The log beams and loft in the master bedroom make you truly feel the rustic charm of the house. The whirlpool in the modern master bathroom is great for relaxing after a long day of lake activities.
Our home is great for those who love the outdoors! Outside of the master bedroom is a huge wrap-around screened-in porch complete with a sitting area and hammock. Connected to the screened-in porch is a large deck which is also accessible through the living room. With a sitting area, grill, and picnic table, our deck is the perfect place for enjoying the company of your friends and family while taking in the gorgeous view of the sunset on the lake.
While walking out to our 2-level dock overlooking the main channel of the lake, you’ll pass through a gazebo- a wonderful place to relax. Our dock has a platform which is perfect for fishing or unwinding in one of the dock chairs. Put your boat in at Copperhead Island and store it in our boat slip with a lift. If you don’t have a boat, you can rent one from one of the many nearby marinas. If you enjoy the beach, you’ll love our private sandy shoreline-great for young ones to ease in and out of the water.
We offer the best of lake activities: boat rides, tubes, kayaks, swimming, fishing, and playing horseshoes on our beach. On a cool evening you’ll make great use of our fire pit on the deck or the beautiful stone fireplace outside the master bedroom. If the weather isn’t cooperative, we have 2 satellite TVs, Wi-Fi, a DVD player, reading library, video library, and games available for your use!
Whether your preference is viewing the lake from our large deck, wrap-around screened-in porch, or 2-level dock, you’ll be awed by the water sparkling like diamonds in the morning and the spectacular sunsets in the evening.
