Welcome Home! Grab a quilt and a book, the hammock and rocking chairs on the porch have your name on it!!

Lorelai’s Lair sits at the end of the road and is a private hideaway!! As you pull up the drive, the front porch complete with rocking chairs and hammock, greets you as soon as you step out of the car. The hot tub on the back porch is the cleanest you will find and you can watch the sunrise soaking with a cup of coffee and a friend!!

Our 2 bedroom, 1½ bath has an open well stocked kitchen, family room with wood burning fireplace, and 32” HD flat screen television complete with DVR. There’s a cozy corner chair for reading, ceiling fan, table for four and TV trays to use while watching the football games.

The Master bedroom downstairs has a King bed, ceiling fan, flat screen TV, and Wii with computer games for all ages. The bathroom has a tub and shower with hotel style shower heads. Upstairs is the Queen Bed and Futon, a great place for a nap!!

Where We Are: The Lair is located in North Carolina near North Georgia, visit close by John C. Campbell Folk School, Lake Chatuge, Young Harris, Brasstown - home of the Possum Drop, Hiawassee River, Blairsville and Helen GA. Come stay with us and attend the Georgia Mountain Fair or the Campbell Folk School Festival. Trout fishing, canoeing, or water skiing, horseback riding too come!! Visit Crane Creek Winery for wine tasting, gifts, and special events (discount coupons with each stay!!)

Wake up to the roosters, whippoorwills or busy woodpeckers, and watch for the wild turkeys that occasionally come by to visit. Sometimes you even hear the cows mooing from the pastures in Warne. Rock the morning with a cup of coffee on the front porch.

The rabbits and deer may stop by to munch on the roses!!!

Who We Are: Lorelai's Lair is named after our granddaughter Lorelai Elise Burch, our first Granddaughter, who has graciously decided to share her mountain home with you, she also will share her pack-n-play, high chair and toys with our renters. We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do, we want you to feel like it's yours!!

Remember of all the paths you take, let some be of dirt!!!! Come home to relax at Lorelai's Lair.

Other annual activities are the Moonshiner's Cruiz In, arts and craft shows, free concerts in the squares of nearby towns, concerts at the Georgia Mountain Fair, and the Fair itself. So much to do!! Don't forget hiking, horse back riding and viewing wildlife and waterfalls.

We are located in the mountains of Western North Carolina and Northern Georgia. Towns within 10 miles of us are Young Harris, Hiawassee GA, and Hayesville NC. There is a grocery store, butcher, and specialty stores within 5 miles of the cabin.

There are two local libraries with free wireless internet and computer access, and movie cinemas. From the GA Mountain Fair and it's attractions to Lake Chatuge, and Clay County Concerts in the park during the summer. There is always something to do nearby.

The John C. Campbell Folk School is within 10 miles and teaches arts and crafts from years before. The Hayesville Punkin Chunkin' contest is also near by and was a big hit last year.

Crane Creek Vineyards has wine tasting and Friday Blue Plate Specials along with seasonal events and is located only 5 miles from the cabin.

Young Harris College has Campus Gate Art Gallery, Rollins Planetarium offers public shows throughout the year, and a nearby Observatory with special showings.

Other Activities: shopping,basketball courts, wildlife viewing, horseback riding, non-touristy area.

Beautiful waterfalls and spectacular views from atop Brasstown Bald only 30 minutes away.

Lionel train lovers check out Misty Mountain Railroad.

Deck/Patio: 2 Rocking chairs and hammock on front porch, bar table and chairs on back porch, stacking chairs to be moved wherever needed. The cabin was just as described. The first time I opened the door I felt like I was at home. Everything we needed was in the cabin. The cabin was clean and comfortable to be in. We had one question when we arrived and Lisa and Rod were very helpful in answering it. The BBQ's in the area were excellent. The pulled pork is the most popular, but our favorite were the smoked ribs. The butcher shop in Hayesville is another must stop for some fresh meat. People in the area are very friendly and helpful if you have any questions. I would stay here again, and also recommend this cabin to friends.

A beautiful mountain retreat

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. We got to see the fall foliage right there all around us. The cabin was beautifully decorated and contained everything you needed. If we had forgotten anything, we wouldn't have needed to worry because it had everything possible to the last detail. Dixie, our Great Dane, enjoyed the fenced yard and even got to see four deer in the woods. We would definitely consider staying there again and would recommend it to our friends. Thank you Rod and Lisa for providing us with a home away from home.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Lorlie's Liar....It was very comfortable and we felt right at home!!! we would definetley stayh again and/or recemmend to our friends! It was also a great place to bring our dogs....very pet friendly!!!

Fantastic, great place to unplug and disconnect. A very quiet time for our dog and us.
Hot tub was fabulous. This was our second time staying in this property.
