SEATTLE WATERFRONT HOME, WATCH PUGET SOUND'S MARITIME PARADE.

Seattle House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6)

Waterfront home on the shores of the famous Ship Canal. Only a few steps to Hiram Chittenden Locks to the East and Discovery Park to the West; two of Seattle's most visited sites.

The home is front row to the Ship Canal. Water traffic includes day trippers, to Alaska fishermen, tugs are a favorite, great blue heron rookery, resident sea lions, fish jumping, beautiful sunsets and ever changing activity on the water make this truly a unique location.

The home is Northwest Contemporary in style. It features a full kitchen, with stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher and coffee maker (this is Seattle, after all) cooking and dining supplies. The kitchen is open to the living room and walls of windows to the views. The living room has cable HDTV, Apple TV, Hulu, HBO and fireplace and walks onto the view deck.

There are three bedrooms, two with big waterfront views, one enjoys a walk in closet and space for a crib if desired.

There is an in unit full sized laundry, and a newly refinished three quarter bath.

The sunny waterfront deck is a nice place to finish the day or take the steps to the waterfront yard to enjoy the nautical parade.

You will be delighted with your stay here. This home is in a very safe, upscale neighborhood. Downtown Seattle and SeaTac airport is an easy, quick drive. This will be the perfect home base for your vacation!

About Gina

Of the places I have lived, this is by far the most facinating and enjoyable! The waterfront is very active, local sights and great restaurants are within walking distance. A quick drive and you are in the heart of Seattle visiting Pike Place Market. I think you will find this is the perfect location for your Seattle vacation.

Gina purchased this house in 2008

What makes this house unique

I am no scientist, but I have read that in environments with salt tinged sea air (like this Waterfront) an abundance of negative ions(electrically charged atoms) are found, which increases the brains seratonin levels, thereby giving an overall feeling of wellbeing and energy! That's pretty great.

A little slice of Heaven

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I used to live in Bellevue and came back for a wedding. We decided to stay a few extra days as we had never really spent much time around the locks, Ballard, or Lake Union. Once we arrived, we knew we had picked out something special here. The views are amazing and it was so much fun watching the boat traffic, along with the numerous bridge lifts when trains weren't present. We saw a couple seals, lots of snow geese, ducks, and a blue heron.
The kitchen was spacious and has a dining area. The family room was light and bright and featured many windows. The master bedroom has a large closet and very comfy bed. The utility room and bathroom were adjacent. We would highly recommend this home as a base and plan on staying here again in the future.

View and location are great.

  • 5 of 5
The view is as good as the pictures and the location just minutes from the Ballard docs makes going to Ballard a short walk. We walked to Discovery Park nearby. The home is well supplied with kitchen items, and the host provided a good binder with local information. The trains were both interesting to see pass by, but a little loud. We found that we got used to them passing by over the draw bridge. I would certainly stay there again.

All that was promised and more!

  • 5 of 5
The place could not be more accurately depicted on the VRBO site, what's not obvious is the cleanliness and how well appointed and tastefully decorated the house is. If there is anything you need that's not here, it's highly doubtful it will be anywhere else you may go. My only regret is the limited time I had to spend here, so much to do and see and everything Seattle is right here; minutes away. I would reccomend this house to my friends and if I decide to return to Seattle I know where I am staying! If your planning on visiting Seattle, reserve a day for Mt. Ranier and another just to stay here on the deck and enjoy the place and the waterfront!

Perfect fit for us!

  • 5 of 5
This Magnolia home was just what we needed prior to our Alaskan cruise. The house was very clean and modern. There were 5 of us total, Mom, Dad, 2 daughters age 25,28 and a niece, age 32. Everyone slept well on the comfortable beds and the decor was nautical as it should be in this home. I myself especially enjoyed the views from the swivel rocker with my binoculars and camera at the ready. So many boats and trains, too many to count. The "Ballard Locks" were busy with spawning salmon and boats, it was all just what we were looking for, we will definitely be back if Gina will have us! If you book this vacation rental, you will not be sorry.

A great home for both kids and adults

  • 5 of 5
We travel to Seattle fairly often, and this lovely home is our favorite place to bring the family. It's very young-child-friendly: Lot's of toys, a pack n play and few breakables. For grown-ups it offers a wonderful view of the ship channel from both inside and patio, easy access to downtown, plus an easy walk to the Ballard locks, shops and pubs. This place has it all.

Great property

  • 5 of 5
We truly enjoyed our stay. The property was very nice and clean. It was right on the water and next to the train tracts with a bridge. It was very cool watching the bridge go up to let a larger boat get through. It's close to the city center, about 20 min drive if that. I would recommend this property and would stay there again.
