There is also a common area in the middle of the four cabins with a horse shoe pit.

About the Lake:

Lake Wallenpaupack is a center of recreation for the surrounding communities, providing boating, swimming, and fishing access in the summertime, as well as ice skating and ice fishing in the winter. Its wooded shoreline also provides opportunities for hiking and viewing wildlife. Lake fish include smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, rock bass, bluegill, walleye, muskellunge, northern pike, pickerel, rainbow trout, brown trout, lake trout, catfish and yellow perch. Striped bass and hybrid striped bass have been stocked in the lake. The lake is 13 miles (21 km) long, has 52 miles (84 km) of shoreline, and is about 60 feet (18 m) deep at its maximum depth. You can rent boats and jet skis up and down the lake. It is a short walk (250 feet) to the waters edge.

About Teresa O'Leary

This is a family owned property. Our son's Bill, Steve and grandchildren, Lliam and Aidan all love 'the cabins'. This property is close to our heart. We always try to meet our guests. We hope that they are enjoying themselves and will go out of our way to make sure this happens.

Teresa O'Leary purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Teresa O'Leary chose Lake Wallenpaupack

Purchased primarily because of the proximity to the lake and the beautiful cabin interior.

What makes this cabin unique

Swimming, boating, hiking, fishing, campfires, charcoal grill cooking, serenity, simplicity, downtime, alone time, hanging with family, close to good restaurants. Great weekend place for Tough Mudders, before and after the race.

Awesome getaway!

  • 5 of 5

I'm a little late on my review because once we came back home I haven't really had the time to sit down and write one but this place was AMAZING! First off it's a very cozy, comfortable and spacious cabin, I went with three others: my fiancé, her best friend and our other friend and none of us felt that this place was anywhere near to little. The check-in and check-out process was very simple and quick. Upon arrivial we weren't sure which one was our cabin due to the fact that we had the wrong cabin number but Teresa was very quick to get a hold of and helped us out. She was very kind and helpful and assured us that if we needed anything we could call. The heat in the cabin was just right and Michael did pass by the next morning and showed me how to work the fire place, which can make the cabin like 90 degrees (haha). The cabin was very clean, we brought our own bed sheets and towels of course but everything else we needed was there for us. We cooked (all the utilities are there) and watched movies (which they provide in a whole little bookshelf!). On our second day there we went to camel back which isn't to far to go snow tubing. On our last day we just hung out then got ready to go. As we were getting ready to pack up the car we met Larry he was a very kind and funny man. We spoke for a little and he helped us when we asked on how to get out to the main road. Overall this place was perfect for our getaway. I would recommend it to anyone. Teresa and Larry were great people and as was Michael.

Wonderful Cozy Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here on a very snowy and cold February weekend and it was absolutely perfect. Teresa was quick to respond to all of our questions prior to booking and staying and when we arrived late on a Friday night that was painfully cold the cabin was already warm for us as we entered. This was our first homeaway booking and we were shocked by how clean, organized and well kept this cabin was. If you are looking for a cozy cabin feel this is definitely a great choice. We went with another couple so did not use the loft that had three extra beds but used the two rooms. The propane fireplace is fabulous and made the cabin so cozy and warm! We loved the experience and went to Overboards that was recommended by Teresa for dinner which was delicious. Overall we were so happy and would definitely recommend this cabin!

Excellent Time

  • 5 of 5

I just spent this past weekend there in the freezing cold. We were in cabin 2 and we were very well heated and comfortable. The cabin was beautiful and clean, just as described. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who needs a getaway. We had a minor issue with our tv and the owners took care of it right away. I will definitely be back in the future.

Awesome Time

  • 5 of 5

We had such a good time! The house was so nice and comfortable. The check in and check out process was painless. We were so glad that we were able to bring our pets with us and allow them to enjoy this vacation with us. Without a doubt, I would go back. Maybe go during the spring or summer to enjoy the lake :).
