Quiet, private, and just lovely.

  • 5 of 5

This exquisite home had everything promised in the ad, and more. The interior of the house is beautiful and spacious. The kitchen is a cook's dream. The bathrooms are luxurious. But I think the real treat is the giant deck with comfy seating, fireplace, perfect view, all beautifully lit-up at night.

Clint was very easy to work with, completely available, but stayed completely out of our way -- which was wonderful. I can't recommend this property enough for its location, amenities, aesthetic appeal, and ease of communication with the owner. Thanks, Clint!

The property is gorgeous!

  • 3 of 5

The property was beautiful. I was not happy about the owner coming over every day I rented the house. I rented it for privacy. Also I asked to see the property beforehand and was not allowed but during my stay there were 5 people who came from the owner's home to look at the property I was staying at. I feel that was completely out of line since I had rented the property. I paid too much to have random people walking around while I was staying there. The property was nice but the owner did "renovations" to the outside while I was there!

A little corner of heaven

  • 5 of 5

A perfect place to relax and renew friendships that date to 1961. Lovely, well appointed home, on property that's spectacular. Wish it had been warm, but the ice storm provided us with plenty of beauty and excitement. Clint thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Can not say enough about this property.

Perfect get away retreat

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful time we had at this beautiful home! Thank you, Clint, for making us feel so welcome. And for keeping check on us during the winter storm. Even though we had rain, sleet, snow, and ice with trees breaking and falling all around, it didn't dampen our spirits. Luckily for us, the power stayed on and we stayed warm and comfortable. We didn't even need to use the nice wood burning fireplace. The gourmet kitchen was very well equipped and it was so nice to be able to cook and not have to go out. Wonderful steam shower and jetted tub and the beds were very comfortable. Would love to come again when everything is in bloom but for now, we have great memories of our stay in your home. Thank you so much!!

Lakefront Labor of Love

  • 5 of 5

My family has just returned from spending three nights and four days at the lake front lodge in Burlington, NC. This home sits on 10 acres of land tucked away from the city and neighbors by walls of bamboo and gardens of beautiful grasses, flowering bushes and Japanese maples. (I cannot wait to return in the Spring to see things in bloom.) The house faces the lake and windows from both bedrooms and the great room open onto the lake. We built fires in the indoor fireplace as well as the deck fireplace and spent hours eating and talking and catching up. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for a turkey dinner for 8 and the great room furniture seated everybody comfortably as they relaxed after dinner to surf the net (wifi included) and watch classic movies on the big tv. The house has a jetted tub in one master bathroom and a huge steam shower with multiple shower heads in the other master bathroom. Both are fabulous. The house was stocked with sheets, towels, toilet paper, paper towels, firewood and garbage bags, allowing us to fill our cars with Christmas gifts instead of supplies on the way down. The 12 cup coffe pot was very nice for our group in the mornings and we enjoyed sitting around drinking coffee and watching the wildlife, which in the dead of winter included a hawk, and a heron. The owner of this house is the designer and caretaker and his passion for this property is obvious. He has built the many gardens, tended the lake, built the home and he did all the preparations for our arrival. He was available to greet us and showed us the varied features of the house. There is a larger house next door, his house, on the same property that has 5 bedrooms and a pool, but you can barely even see it due to the carefully planned landscaping. (It is also available on the vrbo.) In closing, I wil say that my family rents homes at least twice a year and this house is one of the best we have ever visited. It is a true labor of love for the owner and visitors of all ages are in for a treat!

Graduation weekend a slam dunk!

  • 5 of 5

My son graduated from Elon University so the whole family was going to be present. We decided to take a chance on renting a house and was that ever a great idea. We arrived to a balmy 70's day Thursday and it got even better Friday. Lunch on the deck was awesome. What a great private place on a very nice small lake. The weather tanked on Saturday, but the great room made for wonderful family times as well as a hang out after graduation. Beautiful kitchen, so we ate in most all weekend. Very comfortable beds and the steam shower was a hit with everyone. What a nice touch. Thanks, Clint.
