7 Miles from West Glacier 'Coram Creek Cabin'

I can't praise this property enough, it was exactly what we had hoped it would be and more! The pictures on VRBO looked really good, but it was even better in real life. We took five of our children with us and there was room to spare. Being 10 minutes from Glacier and a little more than 30 minutes from Big Mountain (Whitefish Mountain Resort), the location is ideal. Glenn & Kelli were extremely helpful and brimming with interesting information and suggestions as to what to do during our stay. The kids loved having room outside to play and most mornings didn't want to leave. The older kids spent hours at the fire pit roasting hot-dogs, making smores and just talking - a rare family experience (a huge plus was having firewood supplied). The decor was like stepping back in time, several of the items that were there were identical to things I remembered from Grandma's house as a child -- very nostalgic.

We loved the park, probably the highlight was our trip to Many Glacier, the ferry rides up the 2 lakes and the hike to Grinnell Lake (we didn't make it all the way to the glacier) -- the views were spectacular, it was an easy hike to do with a 3-year-old and we spotted 5 Grizzly while there. Because it's more off the beaten path, the crowds there were significantly smaller too (this was one of Glenn's recommendations). It was a cooler day, and after some of the kids got wet in Grinnel Lake (they never do listen) it was fun to sit around the fire in the Many Glacier hotel and let them sip Hot Chocolate from Heidi's and warm up.

Another highlight was our day at Big Mountain. There was something there for everyone, the 2 oldest did the 2-1/2 hour Zipline tour where they speed down a series of 7 ziplines up to 300 feet above the forest. The middle kids did the new Aerial Adventure Park (had just been open for 2 weeks) and after the 2-hour time allotment wanted to do it again -- it was great fun for me too! The 3-year-old loved the alpine slide (as did the older ones and their parents) and the gondola ride up to pick berries.

Another must see is Hungry Horse Dam and the lake, I mean WOW! I've been to Glen Canyon and Hoover Dams, but the sheer Beauty of the Hungry Horse area makes it a must see.

I would definitely recommend staying at Coram Creek Cabin, it was hard to leave and is one of those places you wish was yours. I'm hoping to find some time to do a winter trip and bring the skis and snowmobiles for a great winter experience.

What an amazing stay we had with our family at Coram Creek Cabin. There were 5 of us, and we knew one bathroom would be tricky, but we made it work. The cabin is beautifully decorated, and really felt like home. We were only a short drive from Glacier Park, helicopter and white water rafting trips. It was nice to have a kitchen to cook meals, and a cooler to take picnics with us during the day. Glenn and Kelli have thought of everything. Cell phone service is limited, but we were on vacation and really didn't need the phone. Loved every minute of our stay, and will stay here again in the future. Thanks Kelli and Glenn!

Great place to stay! Met family members up there and the place was well stocked with kitchen supplies, linens, and comfortable furniture. The place was so peaceful and secluded, quiet and the perfect distance from glacier park. It was easy to buy groceries and get to the park. Wish I could have stayed longer.
It was a bit challenging to share one bathroom with 5 adults. But we knew what we were getting into before we got there. We just worked around it. Most of the days we were hiking or touring or exploring. We cooked all our meals there, and packed our lunches for the day. It was a wonderful trip!
I had absolutely no cell phone service there (sprint), and AT&T reception was very limited. I am so use to having internet, I didn't even think to confirm that there would be internet. I was obligated to do a little work while there, and had to drive around to find an internet cafe that had working service available. I highly recommend renting this cabin for a full experience of Glacier Park. I hope they have internet access next time I go.
