We moved to West Glacier in 1967 and lived there until my parents bought this very home from the Park in 1969 and moved it to it's current location. My Dad was employed with Glacier National Park as an Electrician in Communications. If you have ever read the book, 'The Night of the Grizzlies,' you would have read a couple pages about my Dad as he was working when the story took place. Having grown up here and embracing as much as there is to offer, I would LOVE to share my knowledge of our valley and perhaps help guide you to a fullfilled adventure during your stay.

This is home to us and we wanted to be able to share with others all our property has to offer with the change of all four seasons. Winter is SPECTACULAR with an average snow fall of 120'. Spring has it's very own life and beauty. Summer, what can we say; hiking, biking, lakes, the Park, golfing on at least 7 different courses. Fall is absolutely stunning with all the change of colors, hunting in the Rocky Mountains or just simply staying cozy by the fire with a book as the chill outside creates our grand scenery.

A prime location only 20 minutes from Glacier International Airport. Our property is secluded, with a seasonal creek, large yard and horse shoe pits. We are surrounded with mature timber and mountian views, including various attractions and a ton of recreation. Within a 10 mile radius you have the Amazing Fun Center, Great Bear Adventure, House of Mystry to experience a Montana vortex, Glacier National Park, Big Sky Water Slides, Rafting Adventures, Hungry Horse Damn & Recreation Area, Belton Train Depot... A few ideas for you...with many more right out your back door.

A SUPERBLY EQUIPPED HAVEN ON THE THRESHOLD OF GLACIER

  • 5 of 5
Glenn and Kelli's property is one of the best my husband and I have stayed in over decades of travel in the US and Europe. Aside from their attention to detail, there is the magical location of the house in a clearing with trees on every side and Coram Creek gurgling nearby. Emphatically, this is not uber-modern luxury. It is instead a welcoming, pragmatic and superbly comfortable house of character, in which the layout of the rooms is wonderfully well thought out for family life.

Coram Creek Cabin is ample for four and can house eight, but most importantly, its peaceful location in a rural enclave in tiny Coram on the west side of Glacier, and its excellent bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom, make it the perfect haven after a hard day of hiking in this most stunning of US parks, where mountains, waterfalls, wildflowers, wild animals, and vivid skyscapes compete for your attention. The kitchen here is as well equipped as an Italian one (and I've lived in Rome). There's a firepit for s'mores or just evenings round a campfire with the family. There's a huge living room with Netflix on the television. There are good supermarkets in nearby Whitefish. And aside from the occasional atmospheric hooting of the distant trains at night, there are wonderfully tranquil sleeps to be had in the bedrooms. Highly recommended.

AWESOME!

  • 5 of 5
We had a great time at the cabin over the Fourth of July weekend. The cabin was spotless and the pictures do not do it justice. The fire pit was a great spot to join together and visit about our adventures in the Flathead Valley. There was plenty of room for all of is as well as a good spot for our camper. Kelli and Glenn were super to work with. I would definitely stay again!

RELAXING & BEAUTIFULLY MAINTAINED - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Relaxing & beautifully maintained - Highly recommended
  • 5 of 5
We absolutely loved this cabin. It is very clean, comfortable, beautifully maintained, nicely decorated and close to Glacier NP. The kitchen was well-stocked with nice quality cookware. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great. Outside we enjoyed playing horseshoes, roasting marshmallows on the campfire, BBQing and of course watching the deer meander through the woods. It is located close to Glacier, but on private acreage off the main road. Last, the owners were helpful and welcoming (left the lights on for us knowing we would arrive late). We can't wait to go back.

PERFECT WEDDING RETREAT

  • 5 of 5
Leading up to my recent beautiful wedding at Lake McDonald, I rented the cabin for a week as a bachelor base camp. The location is excellent with a grocery store 5 mins drive away, while within 10 mins walking you have the Glacier Grill for dinner and music+drinks at Stonefly Lounge. We grilled ribs on the open fire pit and the propane BBQ, and the kitchen held four working cooks comfortably. The house became a spot where incoming family randomly showed up, and we hosted several dinners and had plenty of kitchenware to use along with the woods to explore and a lot of green grass for frisbee throwing. Beds were great and rooms were perfect, plus lots of space on couches and a few pullout mattresses for extra guests.

The house really took care of us and accommodated a crazy wedding week. We never wished we were closer to Kalispell or to Glacier. You can relax and take advantage of the hospitality the house exudes. If you treat it well, it will treat you well in return.

WONDERFUL WEEKEND ADVENTURE

  • 5 of 5
We rented this quaint property for the celebrated "Cabin Fever Days" and enjoyed it immensely. The pictures really don't do the interior justice. It is richly decorated with fun and beautiful personal touches. Sitting in the livingroom with cozy wood stove heat was a welcome moment after a day of snowshoeing. A weekend wasn't long enough to do all the things we found and really want to do, so we will definetely rent again! Thank you so much for sharing your gem of a cabin!

EXACTLY WHAT WE HAD HOPED FOR!

  • 5 of 5
I can't praise this property enough, it was exactly what we had hoped it would be and more! The pictures on VRBO looked really good, but it was even better in real life. We took five of our children with us and there was room to spare. Being 10 minutes from Glacier and a little more than 30 minutes from Big Mountain (Whitefish Mountain Resort), the location is ideal. Glenn & Kelli were extremely helpful and brimming with interesting information and suggestions as to what to do during our stay. The kids loved having room outside to play and most mornings didn't want to leave. The older kids spent hours at the fire pit roasting hot-dogs, making smores and just talking - a rare family experience (a huge plus was having firewood supplied). The decor was like stepping back in time, several of the items that were there were identical to things I remembered from Grandma's house as a child -- very nostalgic.

We loved the park, probably the highlight was our trip to Many Glacier, the ferry rides up the 2 lakes and the hike to Grinnell Lake (we didn't make it all the way to the glacier) -- the views were spectacular, it was an easy hike to do with a 3-year-old and we spotted 5 Grizzly while there. Because it's more off the beaten path, the crowds there were significantly smaller too (this was one of Glenn's recommendations). It was a cooler day, and after some of the kids got wet in Grinnel Lake (they never do listen) it was fun to sit around the fire in the Many Glacier hotel and let them sip Hot Chocolate from Heidi's and warm up.

Another highlight was our day at Big Mountain. There was something there for everyone, the 2 oldest did the 2-1/2 hour Zipline tour where they speed down a series of 7 ziplines up to 300 feet above the forest. The middle kids did the new Aerial Adventure Park (had just been open for 2 weeks) and after the 2-hour time allotment wanted to do it again -- it was great fun for me too! The 3-year-old loved the alpine slide (as did the older ones and their parents) and the gondola ride up to pick berries.

Another must see is Hungry Horse Dam and the lake, I mean WOW! I've been to Glen Canyon and Hoover Dams, but the sheer Beauty of the Hungry Horse area makes it a must see.

I would definitely recommend staying at Coram Creek Cabin, it was hard to leave and is one of those places you wish was yours. I'm hoping to find some time to do a winter trip and bring the skis and snowmobiles for a great winter experience.

Thanks Glenn & Kelli!
