WELCOME TO TRIZONIA!

The 250 m² house on the idyllic island in the heart of Greece is at 60 meters height and located 100 meters away from the town center and the beach. The large panoramic terraces with pergola roofing offer a breathtaking panoramic view over the Gulf of Corinth and Trizonia. The main building is generously designed at 90 m². The open kitchen with its modern gas stove is made for the most demanding gourmets and two 360 ° fireplaces invite to grill over charcoal, or alternatively spend warmth in winter. For refreshment, from the living room you can dive right into the 36 m² cruciform swimming pool with a shaded grotto. A bedroom with en suite bathroom and mosaic bathtub, a workplace with computer (WLAN) and a guest toilet in the entrance area complete the main building.

Two 25 m² apartments on the ground floor and two 25 m² on the upper floor, each with private access to the terrace and respectively a separate 90 m² terrace upstairs, private bathroom with shower and a kitchen unit are grouped around the main building. Thus, the house is ideal for large families or a larger group of people due to the self-sufficient living areas and spacious possibilities for privacy and retreat.

The beautiful island of Trizonia in the Gulf of Corinth is one of the last of its kind.

With few exceptions, there are almost no cars on the entire island. Stress is a loanword to the locals. If you love the natural and carefree way of life the charm of the island and the cozy Greek mentality will inspire you very quickly: the ideal opportunity to escape the hasty daily routine and to glory in relaxing. Swarms of backpackers or hopelessly overcrowded beaches are not an issue here.

The natural and well-protected bay of Trizonia offers numerous possibilities for anchoring and the marina is designed for up to 150 yachts. Currently no mooring fees are charged. In addition to the beach in the village, there are several other beaches and small bays spread around the island which encourage for exploration. All offer a refreshing swimming experience in crystal clear water, with pleasant temperatures.

Four excellent Taverns in the village center offer tasty traditional Greek dishes and fresh fish. A cozy bar at the port, which is also the gathering place for the youth and many boatmen, invites for a digestif. During the day, the Greek refreshing iced coffee (frappé) is highly advisable here! One of the Taverns at the same time also acts as the island's 'mini-market', in which virtually all daily errands can be made. However, bulk purchase are preferably made at the mainland.

What is there in the closer vicinity?

Trizonia is connected to the mainland (town of Glyfada) through a water taxi which casts off regularly. The duration of the transit is about 5 minutes. Along the mainland shore a number of cozy Taverns can be additionally found. On top of that there are many interesting excursions possible in the area: Delphi and its world-famous oracle and Greece's third-largest city of Patras (European Capital of Culture in 2006) is about an hour away by car. The cozy resort Galaxidi and historically important town of Nafpaktos with its Venetian harbor ('Battle of Lepanto') are both to reach in under 30 minutes by car. A visit to the renowned wineries such as Achaia Klaus or the Cooperative Winery of Nemea towards the ancient city of Corinth, are also highly recommended.

But don't plan too much: You will soon discover that you will only rarely want to leave 'paradise' while you will come under the spell of the archaic Greek calm (Kalma)...

Relaxation, plenty of sun, the sea, delicious food, good wine and lots of great memories... God created Trizonia... then heaven!

Trizonia is a small, romantic fishing village unchanged over the years and relatively untouched by tourism. Most summer visitors are Greek from Athens, having their summer houses on the island. Population is about 250 inhabitants in the summer and less than 50 between November and March. It is located on a small island about 1 kilometre from the northern coast of the Gulf of Corinth, about 37 kilometers east of Patras and 250 kilometres west of Athens (38´22, 22´04). Direct flights are available to and from a small airport near Patras from April to September. The new Rio bridge now connects Patras with the northern coast of the Gulf. You can also take many ferries to Patras via Italy. Regular water taxies connect Trizonia with the mainland. There are three rustic Greek tavernas, a small hotel with restaurant, the famous Lizzie´s yacht club and a mini supermarket which cater to satisfy your culinary needs. Fresh fish is available most mornings from a local fisherman for little money.
