The island:
A natural well protected yacht harbour adequate for 150 boats, with year-round attention from harbour master Christos is available against charge. He can also arrange a picnic by boat to one of the small islands nearby. Presently there is no harbour charge for visitors. There is no motor traffic on Trizonia except for an occasional tractor, but there are three donkeys. The natives do not know stress. What is nearby?:
Regular water taxies connect Trizonia with the mainland. Nearby many interesting excursions are possible: Delphi with its newly built museum is reachable in one hour. The next larger village Galaxidi with harbour and first class restaurants is within 30 kilometres. The next biggest shopping town Navpactos with its romantic harbour and Venetian fort is in 25 kilometres distance. Patras, a town with 250.000 inhabitants, with its famous university hospital is across the new gigantic nort/south bridge is in 37 kilometres distance. Further south you can visit Olympia. You can also visit the famous wine estates like Achaia Klaus. At Nikolaous, approximately 8 kilometres from Trizonia, you can take the ferry to Egion. From there you can visit the famous vine cooperative Nemea.

Or you can visit the antique village of Old Corinth with the famous Roman mosaics. Near Egio, a gear driven railway starts at Diakofto to go up to the monastary Mega Spilion and further up to Kalavrita a mountain village with a superb view. But do not plan too much: You will find out that you rarely want to leave the paradise Trizonia. An ease of soul from Archaic times (calma) overcomes you and you will prefer to sit already in the morning in the cafe, where old Greeks are sipping their first ouzo together with a morning snack. Looking at the sea you quite often watch a group of dolphins passing by.
