One of Sayulita's finest luxury homes, Villa Buena Vista is perched on a bluff overlooking the beach and beautiful Sayulita Bay. A palm-lined, tranquil beach is just 5 minutes away, restaurants and shopping another ten minutes walk along the sands. A combination of hacienda openness and modern luxury, the villa boasts 2 master suites and a 3rd bedroom with bath and wet bar. These bedrooms are steps from our spectacular, saltwater infinity pool and jacuzzi. In addition, we have a semi-attached, 2 level casita, with full kitchen, luxury living room and spacious master suite. Every bedroom in the complex is air-conditioned and boasts spectacular ocean views. The villa also has an airconditioned kitchen/family room, (unique in Sayulita), that opens out to a lush, enclosed garden. In all, the complex sleeps 8 in beds and ten if sleeping sofas are used. The villa may be rented without casita. If the casita only is rented, pool and garden access are excluded. Please contact us for more photos and virtual tours .
ENTERING Villa Buena Vista is like stepping into a Sayulita post card. Sayulita's most famous view, of the ocean, surf break and Sayulita Point, is visible from nearly everywhere in the complex. The entire upper floor of the villa was designed as one, large open space, with gradually descending levels defining the kitchen/family room, dining room and palapa. All interior wall systems are beautiful parota-wood-trimmed glass panels, which were designed to maximize views. The walled garden/courtyard features a hi-end SMEG gas barbeque, with dining set and sun umbrella that are only steps from the kitchen. The kitchen itself is American style, with stainless steel appliances, polished cement counters and spectacular views. Across a low-walled, central passageway is our family/tv room, with a cozy, wraparound sofa, large flat-screen t.v. with dvd player and an extensive dvd collection--featuring many classics. All cabinets and other woodwork are of teak-like, parota wood and done in the Balinese style.
Three steps down from the kitchen/family room is our spacious, spectacular dining room. (we guarantee you will never forget meals taken there). A large table seats up to 12 and is framed by a Moroccan style, gas fireplace on one end, and an antique Tibetan door, painted in the temple style on the other. There is also a small bathroom in this area. Tastefully placed and lighted throughout this level is our extensive collection of ethnic and modern art, accented by an abundance of tropical plants. The entire dining room is open to the palapa, so that you may enjoy your meals and the spectacular views simultaneously.
Our fabulous palapa--with its wraparound sofa system that also seats up to twelve--may be entered from either end of the dining room. Enjoy the great views from here while cozying up with your friends and family, surrounded by tropical plants and wonderful art and lighting.
From either side of the palapa, twin-spiraling staircases lead down to the pool and bedroom level of the villa. People who know say that we have the most spectacular pool setting in Sayulita. The infinity pool and jacuzzi have a state-of-the-art saltwater filtration system, the water sparkling clean without that annoying chlorine smell and residual. The pool is 6 feet deep--with a lounging platform and shallow kiddy area--and the jacuzzi holds up to 6 people. Our favorite thing to do every evening is to take a delicious hot soak in the jacuzzi, followed by a refreshing swim. Afterwards, we stretch out on chaises and relax to the sound of waves on the shore; then doze off while stargazing or meditating on the twinkling lights of the village of Sayulita.
Just steps from the pool area are two spacious master suites. The suites are mirror opposites except for art, with king beds, and accented by the same Balinese style woodwork and detail found on the main level. The bathrooms are large, with separate tumbled marble showers, elegant lighting and artifacts. Between the two suites, along a short gallery hall, is the third bedroom. This room features a wet bar and fridge, (very handy for morning coffee and pool drinks), and has a trundle bed from Oyster Bed in San Francisco, that forms 2 twins. Sheets and linens are in a handy wicker storage trunk that fronts the bed. This room also serves as a small day/living room when not used for sleeping.
Last but not least is our charming, 2-level casita that was inspired by the houses of Old Ibiza. The upper level features a full kitchen and a living area with another spacious, wraparound sofa. The sofa had memory foam cushions and is twin-bed width, roomy enough for two people or children. This room opens to a small terrace with cafe table and spectacular ocean view. The casita is designed with the same attention to detail as the villa, and is filled with wonderful art and artifacts. There is also a flat screen, satellite tv, with dvd player.
Follow a romantic, turret staircase down to the master suite, which features a second ocean view terrace and full bath. The first thing you see when you open your eyes in the morning is that fabulous view of the ocean and Sayulita Point. When shared with friends and family, the casita may be entered from the villa's front garden.

We end each night with a delicious soak in our jacuzzi, followed by a swim in our incredible infinity pool; after which we doze off while stargazing and listening to the rythm of breakers on the shore.
