Nice apartment with inconveniences imposed by owner.

The living room is indeed large and pleasant, with lots of light both natural and very good lamps, with nice view of quiet and spacious courtyard and the Concorde La Fayette tower at a distance. The bedroom features a mattress seating over an oversized box for a bed, making your in-and-out access to bed somewhat bizarre. The elevator does not take you to your floor, requiring some walk and climbing one flight of stairs, thus not recommended for handicapped visitors.
Contrary to claims on the listing the apartment does not have telephone, and the owner does not accept credit cards. You are required to pay through KlikandPay and to purchase insurance, which together add an additional 10% to the rental cost.
We were given only one set of door keys, in our case a serious inconvenience.
A residential rather than a tourist area, with lots of local shops and restaurants, it gives an authentic exposure to the daily Parisian life, and still access to the usual tourist destinations. Proximity to Porte Maillot provides the best airport access by bus, as well as local buses, trains and metro.

Owner's Response: Hello,
The elevator is going up and you have to come down half step because the apartment is half step under.
I have ask for cash because of the key set that you ask for it is just a garanty to have it back when you will leave the apartment.
You don't have telephone in the apartment because everybody have sell phone or internet with skype and facebook.
For the 10% that you talk about it is not for me I mean my pocket, you pay it for a secure payment, just more security for you and I to be sure that it is a real rent with an real apartment when you'll arrive in a other country. It is not fake!!! And I always ask for a dommage insurance if something happens during your visit or if you could'nt come just few days before. When you rent your apartment you see a lot of strage case.
Happy that your enjoy it even with your remarque.
Mr.D.
