Burlington is 1 1/4 hrs away; Montpelier is only a 40 minute drive. Downhill skiing at Stowe or Jay Peak is 1 hour away. The hub of Vermont's local food movement is here, with several organic farmers and cheese makers offering their produce at local food markets and outdoor stands. And, of course, all can be found and had at Willey's General Store in Greensboro. The restaurant at the Highland lodge in Greensboro and Claire's restaurant in Hardwick offer some of Vermont's finest dining.
